Blue Jackets coach Ken Hitchcock made it clear this morning -- rookie center Derick Brassard and rookie winger Nikita Filatov will not play in Thursday's Game 4 against the Detroit Red Wings.

Hitchcock's feeling is that it wouldn't be right to dress Filatov ahead of other players who have been here all season. He mentioned Andrew Murray, Jiri Novotny ... even Alexandre Picard as players ahead of Filatov on the depth chart.

nikkita isnt allowed to play. they dont want him hurt. hes only played in 8 nhl games. he isnt expirenced enough to play in the NHL playoffs,

its dumb how they took him away from the crunch to let him sit on the sidelines, not even play him, they had a chance at playoffs, and he coulda got playoff expirence, but they took him away and crunch lost. smart move colombus very smart move >_<

If that know-it-all lardass Hitchcock isn't going to play Nikita, then I hope the Blue Jackets don't score another goal and get swept.

Met Nikita Filatov. The kid looks like shit. Almost skeletal. Too skinny. There seemed to be a lot of resentment amongst fans, a lot of doubt that he's actually sick. Yeah, because heroin chic is SO popular amongst hockey players... *massive eye-roll* Random silly thing: he's a chuckler - most adorable laugh on the planet

Saw Nikita Filatov sitting up in the press box. He looks great and thinks he'll be back by Wednesday's game vs. Toronto.

Syracuse Crunch forward Nikita Filatov stopped in to see Syracuse Crunch coach Ross Yates on Monday.

Yates didn't like what he saw.

Yates said the rookie had obviously lost weight. Anyone who has seen Filatov knows he doesn't have much to lose.

Filatov has been ill for several weeks with what's believed to be a sinus infection. It has left him congested and weak. He was scheduled to see a doctor again on Monday to try to pin down what's going on.

we can pretty much all agree that her boyfriend is more attractive than she is. 

Haha, so true. I wish you guys would just shut the f*ck up about  whether or not Lena is pretty and realize that Nikita is way more appealing.

His hockey skills won't matter if he can't get well enough to use them.  He is missing another game tonight because he is either still sick or has gotten sick all over again.

And the thing with Lena is that whether you think she is pretty or plain, we can pretty much all agree that her boyfriend is more attractive than she is.

You guys are crazy with all this gossip about him leave the poor guy alone. You prolly shouldn't be saying all this stuff about him when you know it's not true. Once you really get to know him you'll see that he really is a big sweetheart  and an amazing hockey player that we can't wait to have back in Columbus!:)
