I suppose it will be "inappropriate" to point out the obvious: that the very existence of this forum is an common demonstration of the global system of racism (white supremacy).  Change his racial classification and "athletic" would be "gifted."  "Nut-case" would be "youthful exuberance," etc.  He is the hottest talent the game of tennis has ever seen.

I think that many people hate gael because it's obvious to everybody that he has a HUUUGE potential, but also that he's not mature enough to explain it fully.

'Buckweat' Monfils sucks.   Being an arrogant anus probably impresses the little French girls back home in Junior Tennis but it does not win Slams.    Great tennis for one set will not mean squat in history.

But the biggest anus impression was 'Buckwheat' acting like 'Buckwheat' from Lil Rascals.   Priceless.

I have just recently began to watch Gael play. I am impressed with his athletic skills and feel that, with time, he will be number 1. I am, now, officially a huge Gael Monfils fan!!

Back to the rubber room Monfils!  You can pound your chest and talk to yourself all you want between four walls!!!!!  You ran out of gas, plain and simple. Pounding your chest after the 1st set like you won the match was a huge mistake, you need to go the distance before you can pull that shit.  You only fueled Rafa more, you have no respect.  You do not have the conditioning and stamina to grind with Rafa, no way, no how.  No one fights harder than Rafa, and last night proved it once again.

Say what we will about his personal hubris and approximation of a mental patient, Monfils definitely has game, which he exhibited last night against Nadal. He has the athleticism to get to difficulty placed balls, a surefire serve, and a good sense of working his opponent around the court. I was impressed.

oh Monfils aka BUCKWHEAT....celebrating like an asshole and talking to yourself like a mental patient, when will you learn? I thought at one point, they would have to bring out the oxygen tank for you.....you are no match physically for Rafa.....he kicked your ass last night and what a beautiful site it was!!!!!!!!

Dear Mr. Monfils: I have not been following new tennis players carefully, and your match today (Tuesday, September 8) against Rafael Nadal in the U.S. Open is the first time I've watched you play (on TV). I'm a big fan of Nadal for historical reasons, but WOW!!!!! You have been playing TERRIFICALLY!!! against one of the best players in the world. And Nadal seems to be playing very well, too -- it's not that he's having a bad day at all. Rather, YOU are having a WONDERFUL day. I am VERY impressed with you SUPERB playing. It is just SAD that whoever is guiding him has him so far behind the baseline that has to run and stop and reverse so much it is destroying his young body.  If he doesn't hurry and change his game is body will fail to the point he won't be competitive.  He's too young to know better (he's used to healing quickly), but whoever is guiding him needs to be FIRED.  YESTERDAY.
