ok nobody can call him a cheat, he played amazingly in the us open final, he played better than federer, had a better attitude than federer, and called hawkeye when he felt that it was an unjust call. he deserved to win and beat federer fair and square. federer is a great player and is an all time great, probably the greatest but sometimes he is outplayed and his opponent deserves to win and thats what happened in the us open final. and he does have all the right characteristics to become a great champion, he is already an outstanding player and is only 21, he has a great mentality, he treats his opponents with respect whether he wins or loses-as shown at the us open saying he has completed one of his dreams, but the dream to be as good as federer he still has to work at. |

Delpo is changing the way we view "tall" tennis players. From gigantic, slow dinosaurs who only rely on big serves (Karlovic, Isner, etc...) to grand slam contenders that can beat the likes of Federer and Nadal (Del Potro!)... Go Delpo Go! |

The future of tennis after Federer's era...Not Rafa (knees crumbling), Djoko (losing confidence), Murray (boring/predictable pusher), etc... It's Del Po! The tall and unstoppable groundstroke hitter who's starting to volley more... |

no its not cheating in terms of the official rules but cheating in terms of sportsmanship. Del potro was the one that against rogers challenge during the game saying it was late when he (mr. hypocrite) did the same shit. Now tell me if this guy isnt a cheat then wat is he? oh no rite its a very smart strategy. Let me remind you tat ROGER FEDERER rarely argues with people and this is shown as his first time and also got charged by the umpire too. So yea for all of u fan boys tat support his cheap tactics, then yea go live the easy way of life by walking thru shortcuts cheapo

when you get clean aced, you have to accept it whether or not a paper cup falls over. You did not stand up and raise your hand. You waited for the serve and it went past you then started claiming you stopped play. That is unsportsmanlike and shows lack of respect to the opponent. The referee was weak and allowed this to happen. When the point is over and Roger is just about to sit on his chair, YOU CANNOT CHALLENGE THE CALL. Again the referee was weak and allowed this to happen. Instead of offering an explanation (for which he did not have) he told Roger to stop talking. HAWK EYE HAS A MARGIN OF ERROR LIKE ANY OTHER METHOD. THE REFEREE CAN OVER-RULE HAWK EYE IF THE BALL IS OBVIOUSLY OUT AND HAWK-EYE SHOWS A 1MM LINE TOUCH. When the referee is so clearly incompetent giving all decisions in the favour of the underdog and allowing illegal challenges, it is no wonder why Roger lost the will to live. It is so disappointing to watch major sporting events refereed by weak individuals, it ruins the game. That said DP you won, winning is winning albeit winning ugly. |

I had two dreams, One to win the US Open and one to be like Roger. One is done, but I’ll have to fight for the other.” - a marvellous thing to say! It is the same spirit as Neil Armstrong's famous first words on the surface of the moon. Congratulations! |

I agree, lets not forget his serve was far better than federer's. even the commentary was picking up federer's serving at 45% at times. Sometimes, when you are used to winning, ( federer is amazing, no lie) the hunger dies a little. Juan Martin was fighting harder, it was obvious. He deserved the win 100%. |

Saying, that Delo Potro was cheating is a very serious accusation. Can you prove it? Or give some reasons why you think so? If Del had been cheated, the umpires would for sure have recognised it. So mind your words.Mon. |

I do not think Del Potro cheated what it really happened is he was smarter than Federer. He used a very good strategy to win the game. Think !!. |

You may have won but do you really deserve it? I will NEVER respect players that need to cheat to win this game. Roger is #1 in both sportsmanship and the GAME. ROGER IS #1!
