His friend does the same thing and I respond as well and they walk into the locker room. Looking back, I wish I had said a little more, maybe he could have gotten me into the locker room, plus, just for the opportunity to casually talk to those guys like people instead of athletes. But I had to laugh because it was such a Max thing to do, but you can see why he's a fan/team favorite. The guy has an unbelievable air about him and it's very attractive, and I'm not even talking about the physical aspect.

Afterwards, I went to the press conference area to call my best friend and cue her in and while I'm talking, in comes Malkin, Staal, Goligoski, Orpik, Kennedy, Michalek and Martin (Staal, Orpik and Geno are HUGE). Of course, I have to stop talking until I move to another corner so I keep talking about who just walked into the room and I turn and see Michalek (my favorite Penguin other than Sid) a few feet from me throwing away some trash in the garbage. He just kind of smiled in acknowledgment and I did the same. That, for me, was awesome cause, like I said, he's a big favorite of mine.

Honestly, we're so lucky to have the team we have. I didn't see them interact much, but you could tell we have a great group of guys.

Wrote this before but TS erased my comment. About the Max is a flirt number, he definitely is. I have a fun story about it.

I was lucky enough to go to the Winter Classic representing a blog (won't say which so I can remain anonymous) and after the family skate, the Pens were available for interviews in the locker rooms. I went down but was stopped at the entrance because I didn't have the level of access necessary to get in so instead of going back to the press box, I just waited outside of locker room and see if I saw players. Funny thing is after I thought that, I turned to stand near the hallway wall and am immediately face-to-face with Kris Letang. Talk about a brooding face, wow. To look busy, I was messing with my phone, pretending to send emails but I saw most of the team: Adams, Kunitz, Engelland, Staal, Godard, Johnson, Conner, Letestu, and Lovejoy. Dupuis, Cooke and Rupp then came up with their kids and then Bylsma with his kid, Reirden and Shero. It was really cool.

And then Mr. Talbot walked in with a friend/family member (couldn't tell) and I was looking at his forehead (I really was) because there was a gash above his right eye and I was trying to remember when he got it and I didn't watch the previous game. So in the 3 seconds I was staring at his forehead, he notices and we make eye contact so I just give a small smile and nod and am about to turn back to my phone. (contd)

i could care less that the pens are getting ice girls, just the fact we are going to have a new group on here claiming to be an ice girl and all their "stories" about the players,, great!!

actually, these girls are probably going to sign a contract that says they won't fraternize with the players. if they get caught sharing stories, they'll get fired.

and honestly, the ice crew thing is so not pittsburgh. i'm really disappointed the franchise thinks they need ice girls to "pump up the crowd." not to mention they're trying to call them an ice crew and they aren't girls, yet, these girls are going to be dressed in tight pants and crop tops like the rest of the NHL ice girls.

$10 says these girls get some boos from the crowd.

I know who his girfriend is (was, but there may have been a reconciliation in the last few weeks)and what the stories are. As I said the stories are rightfully not for public consumption on a moral level but that is not why they did it. They do not give a toss about anyone else.

Well first. I was watching one of the last games played in Mellon Arena. The entire arena booed him. He hadn't scored for a while. So when he went off ice and was interviewed, he was asked if Sid was expecting that kind of reception and he said no, and you could tell he was a little hurt. So he said something like "ya, Im here polishing my ring b/c I made the ultimate sacrifice and concurred hi-sticking", "mugging", cheap shots, all to make the Crosby name live on through the years. (no mention of other players)

i am someone who understands media science and the power of it. if you can't explain why they would put so much money into this when the NHL isn't even that strong of an organization fiscally, then i feel i could believe you.

in the US, hiding something like this would take too much money. you're talking about the sex industry amounts of money, which the NHL and crosby's PR firm do not have.

but right now, this is just another conspiracy theory that has no proof. sorry.

i see what you're saying, but i still think people are bored with sid. sure, he gets a lot of money from the fan girls, but again, do you really think spending all of the money covering it up is going to equal the amount of money made "because sid is single?" i mean sure, girls would go in mourning if they found out he had a gf, but who cares? pens are still going to sell out every home game and crosby jerseys are still going to be the top selling jerseys.

no smart industry, in their right mind, would risk integrity to make money, especially when they understand that keeping things from the media isn't all that easy.
