F*** Yeah. I can read a lot of his stories, but the man f**king sucks at endings. For the Dark Tower, I actually plan on kicking him in the nuts.(not joking either.) he ruined it. The Stand, it was like than what, what happens next. F**king Pet Semetery, He ends up killing the whole family. Mr. King if you're reading this know I'm looking for you and when I meet you it will be a greeting from my foot to your balls. But Yeah I'm not even reading his newer sh*t. I was reading The Cell and stopped halfway through because it was complete utter sh*t. I kinda wished he was killed by that car just for it would have saved his career. In the words of Harvey Dent. " You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villian" |

a lot of his stories end like that. total crap. I just don't set myself up to expect anything great from his fiction anymore. He's cranking out the same old tired characters again and again and again, just giving them different names. enough already. Take a 5 or 10 year hiatus for pete's sake, and let one good story brew for a while. |

I like his non-fiction writing, but I can't stand his fictional writing. The way he executes a story is problematic. Now listen, there's nothing wrong with making up a story as you go along, but the story does have to make sense at the end. King's stories don't make sense at the end. I remember I voraciously read one of his books, and as I finished the last sentence I remember thinking, "What the...? That's it?! Why did I read this in first place then!" The ending was just simply disappointing and completely disregarded the rest of the story. It's not like he ends with a Deus ex Machina, instead the story just takes a hard left turn to make things confusing, pointless, and stupid for no apparent reason! I tried to give him another chance and read another one of his books, but I couldn't get into it. Maybe he's just not my cup of tea. But from my experience I know this: Stephen King cannot write good endings. And if he can't write good endings, he can't write good stories. And who would want to read stories that have bad endings? |
