So the Jaks came out of the holiday break with a tie in Trenton last evening, and NO DONATI in the lineup!! I predicted this, but then again predicting those guys walking on their teammates isnt exactly being a clairvoyant!!

Something is in the wind. Justin is a healthy scratch last night, even though he is the league 2nd leading scorer, and Tyler is placed on IR, and no one can remember where/when he may have hurt himself. Europe? They are perfectly suited for that game with oft hands, speed and the open ice really lends itself to their game.

Whale general manager Jim Schoenfeld announced today that the team has loaned forward Tyler Donati to the Elmira Jackals of the ECHL.

Donati, who signed an AHL contract with the Whale October 21, went scoreless with eight shots on goal in eight games with the Whale.

I realy don�t know if you now this boys the way you try to make it look like. I have heard rumours that they might be headed to a norwegian club. OK, the short spell i Switzerland last year was not successfull. But in NLB there can be only 2 foreigners. In Norway they will come to a club with maybe 2-5 others north-americans with NHL/AHL/ECHL/NCAA experience. Hopefully that will help them. Also norwegian icehockey should fit players like the Donatis because of less pysical and more technical play. Players like Mats Zuccarello and Mathis Olimb comes out of norwegian icehockey with an reputation of beeing quite skilled players.

He has played one full season of hcokey since 2006-2007. Another year sitting out and watching people his own age play is not going to help. He needed a couple of full ECHL seasons and try ad make a run in his mid 20's in the A. Would another AHL team take a chance (based on 8 games no points I am not sure how much longer the wolfpack willhold on) I am not sure that Europe would even be an option after Thurgau.. I think he is at the point now where he should just be playing for fun at the lower levels and maybe start some school while he is playing....
