Haaaah. Sorry 'bout your tonsils. Chicago is the third biggest bbl market. Wonder if it will come true.

Let the yapping begin. Blogs and radio shows are saying he would be a good fit for the CUBS. He could go with Tito and Theo bc Red Sox fans feel it's likely they'll both end up with the Cubs. The fans were chirping this up.

I was in Baltimore for the last three games - stayed at the team hotel. I ruptured my vocal chords heckling the home plate umpire and his moving strike zone. True story. I think Lars will end up with a Major League team. He's an everyday Major Leaguer. Retrospect with this year's Pawsox - he just looked so much better as compared to the other players. Like looking at an adult playing against little kids.

He had a great game. A home run to the opposite field, stole a base (5SB0CS), 2 hits, 2RBI's. I'm pretty sure he earned his 100th hit of the season. He's def a Major Leaguer.
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Mon, 01 Aug 2011 14:50:50 GMT

i LOVE the matt and kim song.

interesting lyrics. we'll use our eyes instead.

No Wait I think he's still with the sox. Thank GOD. Hector Luna is not all that hot.

Reply-to:i am nervous about the trade deadline. i hope he doesnt get traded away. that would suck.

there ya go. he was at bat and pulled off the field and is gone tho no one knows where for sure yet. big talk is oakland and that would be great for him b/c he is from that area.

we love the guy and we'll miss him

Wow. I just found this page. I love this young man with all my heart and soul and all the other season ticket holders around me adore him.

Boston fans will love this guy. Pine tar on his helmet. Gets dirty diving for balls and sliding into bases. The Nordic God of Walks. Good eye and patient. Kind of a new batting stance and he's hitting to different parts of the field though a lot of time not far enough for a home run.

He was awful at fielding last year when he first came up but now he's exceptional. Very astute. Fast learner. Pays attention on the base paths. He's big and he looks like a train when he runs.

His only downfall is he yells the eff word when he strikes out and throws his helmet. He's young. He'll settle down. His biggest enemy is his own mind. Gets frustrated.

He's one of Theo's prospects and I think when Ortiz retires, Lars will play first base and AG will be the DH or vice versa if Lars can strengthen his bat some more. Theo holds on to his guys as long as possible and the farm system doesn't have a first baseman anywhere near as good as Lars.

He's talented and good trade bait. I can see him as an everyday Major Leaguer.

And about the girlfriends - tho it's not our business. If he has promised his future with someone and he's seeing other girls - well that shows a lack of integrity. He's young and single. He can and should date as much as possible.

And may I conclude by saying 4A my ass. Plus he has excellent taste in music.

That's all I got. Sorry for the long post.

Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Mon, 20 Jun 2011 01:45:15 GMT

Great big strong guy who should be a power hitter. Very passive at the plate. Step it up dude. This is the Boston Red Sox organization. We eat ‘aggressive’ for breakfast and then spit it out.

He strikes out swinging; strikes out looking; pops up; grounds out. Hits straight to an infielder. Seldom does he hit and get on base. Good at walks. He’s got a good eye. Very patient. But he needs to hit. Heck. He bats like a middle infielder. He’s so bad now that he isn’t even trade bait. I thought he might become a 4A player but at this point, he’s barely Triple A. QUIT BEING SO PASSIVE. Show some passion.

Batting problems are ALWAYS about mechanics. Fix the problem, man.

As the team acquires guys through the off season, you might here "will be assigned to Pawtucket."

Teams usually announce ST invitees in January.

Between now and then, we'll be hearing a lot of speculation about Lars and all sorts of possible trades. For example, today's Boston Herald speculates that the Sox could package Lars or Anthony Rizzo with Jacoby Ellsbury and trade for Adrian Gonzalez.

This kind of talk will go on for months ... till spring training and even through spring training.

If Lars stays with the Sox, he will likely be in Pawtucket and possibly go up and down. He needs to have a super spring training and do super in Pawtucket.

Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Thu, 07 Oct 2010 15:37:58 GMT
When do they announce who is on the pawsox and who is going to the redsox...thats all made during spring training
Anonymous (Veteran) wrote on Wed, 06 Oct 2010 19:13:45 GMT

It's his bat that's the problem. He has to really work on that and then have a super excellent spring training. Then maybe ... he'll go back and forth between Boston and Pawtucket.

We'll know that idea is squashed if the Sox sign a good first baseman and move Youk to third or if they sign a good third baseman and leave Youk at first.

Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Tue, 05 Oct 2010 17:02:09 GMT
hmmmm.....what are the chances of him getting signed to the majors?
Anonymous (Veteran) wrote on Tue, 28 Sep 2010 14:51:23 GMT
Seriously. The jester is by far the nicest costume and not overly embarrassing. I can't find it but there's a photo of some other Sox rookie dressed like a gladiator and that was a nice costume too.
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Tue, 28 Sep 2010 11:56:52 GMT
Looking at the other costumes I would be thrilled to be dressed as Jester.

Robert Manuel ("Macho Libre"), Felix Doubront (lifeguard), Lars Anderson (court jester), Ryan Kalish (Reno 9-1-1 cop), Daniel Nava (Batgirl), Matt Fox (Mr. Incredible) and Robert Coello (gay construction worker).

The end of the MLB tape, you can see great big Lars walking to the bus with his little rolling overnight bag and a paper bag with handles on it. He's so tall. I wonder where they got a costume like that to fit him.

Usually on the last road trip, each MLB team looks really closely to determine what guy is deemed a rookie and has not yet gone through this "bonding" exercise. The Sox had ten guys.

Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Sun, 26 Sep 2010 04:22:10 GMT
oh yeah?  I didnt know that..where did you hear about that
Anonymous (Veteran) wrote on Fri, 24 Sep 2010 14:13:27 GMT
The rookies had to dress up in costumes yesterday and then take a (chartered) train ride to New York to play the Yankees. Lars was a court jester. He didn't look happy. lol
Anonymous (Veteran) wrote on Sat, 18 Sep 2010 15:27:43 GMT
I would love him to stay around too. I am hoping that he gets yet another invite to st and then he will probably go up and down a few times next year.
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Wed, 15 Sep 2010 01:53:08 GMT

I would like him to stay around here. and if another year in pawtucket is what he needs to make in the majors then I think thats whats going to happen. But I have no doubt he is going to have a great career, he is sitll young

Anonymous (Veteran) wrote on Tue, 14 Sep 2010 19:13:51 GMT

For now, he's fine...in the future, who knows.

I think the Sox are showcasing him as trade bait for the off season.

Unless his hitting improves greatly - he has an outstanding September and 2011 Spring Training - he will probably be back in Pawtucket next year.

I think he'll probably go up and down like a lot of guys do.

I'm hoping he doesn't become a 4A player.

I would love for the kid to stay up in Boston for good though that's probably not likely.

im pretty sure he will be able to handle himself. his heads in the game right now

here's is Lars's interview bf the Red Sox game yesterday.

towards the end of the interview, he put his mike down on the table but was saying something and tom caron and peter gammons both laughed. then he said "oh are we still on" ...

funny. but i just can't figure out what he says when he puts the mike down.

aw. i'm having pawsox withdrawals. lol

lars looks great in high def.

Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Tue, 07 Sep 2010 13:26:05 GMT
I watched the game. He did great in the field but at bat not so much.  He will get the hang of the majors pitching.  He is a great ball player
Anonymous (Veteran) wrote on Tue, 07 Sep 2010 11:54:16 GMT

did u get to watch the game last night? he didn't do well at bat and he looked so scared. my heart bleeds for the guy.

he'll come around though. he will. he seems to have a strong mind set.

well he has to ... seeing that he got this far.

Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Tue, 07 Sep 2010 02:45:00 GMT
I dont know anything about it. I just saw them together a couple times. I know he is single so i am assuming that they are just friends but i couldnt tell ya
Anonymous (Veteran) wrote on Mon, 06 Sep 2010 19:32:36 GMT

totally agree. he's a good guy.

do you know if the girl and lars are serious? just met? is she a local girl?

i feel that he will treat her very well and i hope she does the same thing for him.

Anonymous (Sophomore) wrote on Mon, 06 Sep 2010 18:34:09 GMT
aw lars has that affect. he is a very nice person. I saw him and that girl together last night when i was waiting outside or autographs. i know alot of people that ae not going to todays game because he wont be there
Anonymous (Veteran) wrote on Mon, 06 Sep 2010 15:19:49 GMT

oh i noticed your other post about not seeing me. i was doing the social scene, flitting around. for a while i was in the last row of section 8, talking to an older gentleman / season ticket holder.

the company i work for ... is owned by my dad. he LOVES lars. LOVES him. my dad might not go to today's last pawsox game bc lars wont be there. lol

he's probably not serious though.

Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Mon, 06 Sep 2010 15:00:55 GMT

long brown hair, shes tall.  It was just a matter of time before he got a call up. lets just hope he stays in boston

Anonymous (Veteran) wrote on Mon, 06 Sep 2010 14:31:20 GMT

I just got the word he's up. YAY.

I hope I never see him in Pawtucket again and I hope the guy finds a super nice girl. I think his folks raised him up well. He seems to be a beautiful person inside and out.

Anonymous (Veteran) wrote on Mon, 06 Sep 2010 13:55:38 GMT

no I didn't wait around.

he's not listed in the transactions - how did you hear?

what does the girl look like (in general) ... i don't want to compromise her privacy.

Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Mon, 06 Sep 2010 13:51:53 GMT
he didnt get a call until after the game.  Did you wait around after near the buses where people were getting autographs..u would have seen that girl
Anonymous (Veteran) wrote on Mon, 06 Sep 2010 04:23:55 GMT

Did he get the call up? That's fantastic.

Is that why they pulled him from the game? I thought it was b/c he's so slow on the base paths.

Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Mon, 06 Sep 2010 02:57:08 GMT
i tried looking for you at the game but I  couldnt find you.  I was in section 6.  Lars got a call to boston tonight
Anonymous (Veteran) wrote on Sun, 05 Sep 2010 16:48:51 GMT

my fam has two seats near the front of section 8 and the company i work for has four seats in section 9 so I'm in that area. i'm 5/7" with brown hair and brown eyes.

what do you do at the autograph thing ... just say 'hey lars, can i have your autograph" ??? what do you have them sign.

bubba is super hot. very nice guy. great build.

Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Sun, 05 Sep 2010 14:24:58 GMT

dont be shy.  everyone else does it. the only autograph i got is bubba bell's. where r u sitting at the game. who do you go with?

Anonymous (Veteran) wrote on Sun, 05 Sep 2010 13:25:01 GMT

i agree - they do park all over the lot. around or across from their entrance/exit door. (where the autograph hounds are) They let me park over there bc I have an expensive (older) sports car. Sometime when I go to home games, I park in the 'cage' where the players leave their cars when they go on road trip.

i've only talked to lars once. just a "hi how are you" thing at spring training.

i never go for autographs. way too shy for that.

Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Sun, 05 Sep 2010 01:07:37 GMT
I think the players park all over the lot. I dont think there is a certain spot.  I never really looked at where they go.  You really know a lot about him, you must be a big fan.  Do you wait outside all the time for autographs cuz I have prolly seen you before
Anonymous (Veteran) wrote on Sat, 04 Sep 2010 18:09:42 GMT

do you know where the players park? when they come out of the stadium (players entrance tower) ... they walk right across the parking lot to the wall / hill that backs up into the neighborhood.

there are three gorgeous bmw's usually in a row and they're backed into the space. they have no front plate so you cant tell where they're from.

one has a huge GPS monitor on the dashboard. huge.

i think our lars boy might drive an suv of some kind. he's leaving pawtucket and going to va to see his sister and then colorado to see a friend and then montana cuz hes never been there bf.

Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Sat, 04 Sep 2010 16:20:25 GMT
I dont know what car hedrives but I dont think its a bemmer.  well maybe I will run into waiting for an autograph or something
Anonymous (Veteran) wrote on Sat, 04 Sep 2010 15:09:47 GMT

i'm going to the last two games too. not staying for the fireworks though.

i think lars wont be called up bc the sox will lose a year worth of options for him if they do. they have to put him on the 40 man roster this winter though.

ive noticed a bunch of souped up beemers over where the players park. do you know what car he drives?

Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Sat, 04 Sep 2010 11:48:45 GMT
I go to alot of them. I cant believe there are only 2 home games left and the season is over. I seriously thought Lars would have been called by boston already. It will happen ...just needs time  Im going to the last 2 games
Anonymous (Veteran) wrote on Sat, 04 Sep 2010 10:26:25 GMT

A lot of them. Do you go to a lot of games? I can't believe the summer is almost over (Pawsox wise).

Lars had to unassisted double plays this summer and I was there for both of them. Saw him fall over the tarp when Beckett was pitching.

All the guys who've come up from Portland this year seem to be very nice tho I know Josh Reddick isn't well liked.

Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Sat, 04 Sep 2010 02:46:40 GMT

I'll try but I dont know that much. Do you go to all the games?

Anonymous (Veteran) wrote on Fri, 03 Sep 2010 15:57:09 GMT
Hey, Rookie. Keep us informed okay? I was hoping Lars would go up to Boston in September but I guess not.
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Thu, 02 Sep 2010 17:54:59 GMT
i definately agree.  he is really nice to everyone and I love how he takes time for the kids.  And anyone he dates will be nice...well she looks nice any way
Anonymous (Veteran) wrote on Tue, 31 Aug 2010 19:30:02 GMT

totally agree. he's just the sweetest guy. really nice guy. nice to everyone.

hope if he gets a gf, that she's as nice as he is.

Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Tue, 31 Aug 2010 17:06:50 GMT

total sweetheart.  no girlfriend but hes talking to someone I know that much

Anonymous (Veteran) wrote on Sun, 18 Jul 2010 11:24:54 GMT

He is now with the Pawtucket Red Sox and hopefully he'll get a call up to Boston in September. He's been a spring training invitee for the last couple of years.

Not quite ready for the bigs.

The guy is a total doll. A total sweetheart.

He is 22 and has no girlfriend. Finally. A ball player not hitched to a junior high gf or whatever.

Blond. Blue eyes. 6 feet 5 inches. Bats and throws left. First baseman but can play left field too. A laid back California guy. Plays the guitar. Is into music.
