| Let me see, in one race he won by .01 seconds. So, if I pull a hair out of my head, I guess I can say I lost weight. And if I stand on my tiptoes at noon, I'm closer to the sun. .01 second is much less than the time to blink your eyes. If the other swimmers had longer finger nails they could have beat his time. |

ok.. for the people who dont know why people are on this website to discuss the ways in which phelps sucks obviously dint even read the TITLE of the forum. FYI its "Michael Phelps Sucks". thanks for proving that the people praising Phelps on these forums are jsut as smart as thier idol. |

The real losers are the lame people that hero worship him! All you teeny boppers and people who think swimming is the greatest sport ever should realize no one will care about him or his sport after the olympics! Oh.. and take note of the rar! rar! Phelps fans... those who madly and viciously defened and blindly rally around Phelps and his "awesomeness" and think criticizing him is like burning the flag. These people are idiots and use a lot of small powerful words and !! or say uneducated things "hes amazing" or "hes perfect in every way", aside from intellectually...But he has ADHD!!!! so do I....and dyslexia and I am some how able to know when a question is directed to be. I must be perfect in every way, asside from winning 7 gold medals, therefor I am a complete failure and should be shunned for my "suckyness". :) |

Phelps is a great swimmer and seems like a really nice guy. That being said, he answered a question in a interview directed to Mark Spitz asking if he (Phelps) was not only the greatest swimmer but the greatest Olympian of all time. By attempting to answer that question Phelps proved that dedicating the years spent for mental and physical development solely on physical achievements makes you an idiot and a poor role model. Phelps is neither the best Olympian of all time, nor is he the best swimmer, Spitz didn't have close to the same advantages Phelps did growing up and he won 7 gold medals with a full head of hair, a mustache, and a body that in terms of hydrodynamics was poor (at best) compaired to today's standards. I like Phelps he is a nice guy and will do a lot of good for motivating kids a fat people to start swimming, but take him off the highest ranking seat on Mt. Olympus and give credit to intelligent and gifted athleats who havent had personal nutritionist since the age of 13. And personally, I think the wrestler who killed his 3 opponents to win gold back when the olympics was actually a true test of skill should be given the greatest olympian title. |

| He's a good swimmer, but let's face it...he's not the fastest swimmer. He basically won the events with the weakest competition. Why won't he swim the 100 free or 50 free or 100 back or 100 breast if he's suppose to be the best all around swimmer? Hansen couldn't beat Kitajima. So Phelps should've challenged Kitajima. I wanted to see him race Bernard in the 50 and 100 free individual event. |
| Michael Phelps is the BEST swimmer in the world!!! He is perfect in every way!!! I love him sooooo much!! He has worked so hard and has achieved sooooooo much! He is a HUGE role modle to people of ALL ages! |
