Goaltenders

• Craig Anderson
  After two consecutive season of .930 save percentages as a backup goaltender, Craig finally got his chance and he out-did himself by posting a .946 save percentage this year to-date. He's the only reason the Panthers are a playoff contender.
• Tim Thomas
  People can't stand that this unorthodox goaltender is an all-star.

Defensemen

• Dan Boyle
  Back and better than ever. Ten goals, 24 points, 3 game winning goals and +10 in 27 games.
• Anton Volchenkov
  Remains the best defensive defenseman in the game today. Fourth in blocked shots and hits for d-men.
• Brooks Orpik
  After an amazing playoff last season, Orpik has not let up. He leads the league in hits (111) by a defenseman with 25 more than any other d-man. He's also 16th in blocked shots.
• Shea Weber
  Where did this guy come from? Eleven goals, +11 and 19th in hits by a d-man.
• Mike Green
  Nineteen points in 19 games and +10.
• Michael Komisarek
  Twenty-sixth in hits, 34th in blocked shot and he's only played 14 games.

Forwards

• Alexander Ovechkin
  Third in hits and I've heard that he can score too!
• Milan Lucic
  This monster sets the tone from his first shift every game. Leads the league in hits, with 9 goals and a +14 in 29 games.
• Evgeni Malkin
  On pace for 130 points and 100 assists.
• Sidney Crosby
  Back on track, after a slow star.
• Mike Richards
  Turned into a premier NHL centerman in the last year.
• Simon Gagne
  Back on his game after a series of concussions.
• Ryan Getzlaf
  Continues to get better.
• Thomas Vanek
  Finally earning that big contract. Twenty-four goals in 30 games.
• Jeff Carter
  I wonder how many GMs are kicking themselves for not acquiring him when he was on the trading block last season.
• Alexander Semin
  Great start!
• Zach Parise
  Imagine if he didn't play for the defensive minded Devils.
• Marc Savard
  Always neglected. Performs regardless.

The NFL is laying-off 150 of their 1100 workers or 14% of their workforce. MLB.com is laying off 20 of 5% of their workers. The NBA laid-off 80 earlier this year. The AFL is talking about suspending operations for the coming season. Things are tough!
