Top-5 for Schenn and Burke
Brian Burke was quoted saying "I've already been offered a top-five pick for Luke Schenn, but I'd have to be crazy to move him."

I really hope he was lying or at least exaggerating. If not, then call him an idiot. As much as I like Schenn, trading him for a bonus 10-20% chance of getting Tavares, with a fall back of Hedman and Duchesne, sounds like a great deal to me.

I'm guessing Burke is sending a message to the othe GMs. He cannot be that stupid. It's entirely possible that Burke's Stanley Cup has gone to his head. I really hope he's not that stupid.

Understanding ARod
I have a question for you. Ten years ago when your trainer asked you if you'd do steroids for awhile with the potential to make 300 million dollars, why didn't you say yes? The answer for most all of us is the same. We didn't have such a trainer. With the potential of big money, most all of us would have answered yes. Most everybody that says otherwise is a liar and the others are simply fools.

The media blowing up the situation are the same people that put ARod on his pedestal. The media loves knocking those they put up their off. ARod has nothing to apologize for, especially to a planet full of jealous fools.

I wonder how many potential steroid using hall of famers chose not to use steroids, didn't make it out of AAA baseball and just got laid off from their bussing restaurant tables jobs. Doubt many.

We all have big morals looking from the outside. Layoff of ARod and start looking at the real problem; Bud Selig. This guy clearly covered up the steroids problem. Did he lie to congress, senate, grand jury about ARod? I don't know. But if failing to tell the whole truth is lying, then I know he did.

Thirty years from now, Bud Selig will be in the Hall of Fame. Bingody! Bangody! Boom! Who's the fool? You are!

Schneider to Canadiens

Nice draft pick steal by the Thrashers. Both a 2nd and 3rd rounder for a very old overpaid d-man in Matthieu Schneider. Montreal also has a condition pick coming back. It better be high. The Canadiens had lots of salary room to add players, which is now gone along with 2 draft picks. I don't understand this. Kaberle might have been available to them in the next few days.

Sorry Ice
Today on Talk-Sports a user asked "lol is that really a Canadian thing?" in response to "You know you're Canadian when you say sorry to a sheet of ice after you slip on it."

I have been asking forgiveness from my backyard icerink for a week after neglecting it for nearly a month.
