Don't Come Back

Jeremy Roenick: We're going to try to make it better for everybody, period, end of subject. And if you don't realize that, then don't come.We don't want you at the rink, we don't want you in the stadium, we don't want you to watch hockey.

Jeremy Roenick: Everybody out there who calls us spoiled because we play 'a game,' they can all kiss my (expletive).

Randy: Jeremy wants the fans who think the players are spoiled to kiss his ass and not to come back to the rink. OK! What a spoiled brat.

Define: Van de Velde

Jean Van de Velde did it again. Best known for throwing away a three shot lead at the last hole of the 1999 British Open. Van de Velde needed par on the last hole of the French Open, but faltered and lost the tournament when he triple-bogeyed in the playoff losing to a double-bogey by Jean-Francois Remesy.

define: Van de Velde - Win the first 71 holes of a national tournament and lose to the pressure of the last hole and playoff.

Vernon Wells
Vernon Wells is one of those players that puts up good stats but doesn't contribute very much to a team winning. I don't know how many times, I've seen something very similar to what happened today. Vernon singles to lead off the inning. Hillenbrand then hits the ball down the third base line and Wells trots into second base. Hillenbrand could have got a double, but unfortunately he's got a non-team player in front of him, unwilling to make any effort for third base. Later in the inning Zaun singles to right field and Wells trots into third base. Hillenbrand could have went first to third, but he's held up by the non-team player in front of him, unwilling to make any effort again. Finally, Alex Rios grounds the ball back to the pitcher, who drops it. Wells was still out by a mile, because he gave up on the play too early.

Welcome to Game Certainty!

This is my sports blog. I'll be blogging about my favorite teams, the teams from Toronto, the teams from Canada and sports in general. I'm also gonna use this blog as a means of bankrupting owners that lock-out fans. Remember, the NHL owners didn't only lock-out the players, they locked-out the fans too!
