Are You a Baseball Chick?

Over the next few months, Talk-Sports is gonna name the Baseball Chicks of the Web. Fans can submit videos on YouTube showing us that you are a baseball chick. Include the words talksportsnet baseballchick (baseballchick is one word) in the title or description of the video to be eligible for selection (actually... so we can easily find them).

Here are some ideas for your videos.

We will select 2 to 10 baseball chicks, depending on how many videos we get. Those selected will be official Talk-Sports Baseball Chicks and they will be featured on the Talk-Sports website. The Baseball Chicks will then compete online to become the Ultimate Baseball Chick.

All selected Baseball Chicks will receive free bronze memberships on Talk-Sports. The Ultimate Baseball Chick will receive 2 tickets to a baseball game at their local MLB ballpark. If you would like to co-sponsor this contest by adding to our prize pool, then please contact us at webmaster@talk-sports.net.

Donna Wofford Talk-Sports Cyber-Bully
Donna apparently use to date a minor league baseball player. Now her, her sister Kim and her friends (Stacy Hurley & Melissa Thomas) live on her exes girlfriend forum. You know what they say about woman scorned.

In early December, Donna texted her ex and told him she was committing suicid. He called 911. Comments were placed on Talk-Sports (supposedly from her sister) that she took her life. Sister’s don’t brag on public forums that their sister committed suicide. I tried to verify her death, but nobody died in Florida that month by her name. Her family promised to provide me proof, but I’ve received nothing. I called her phone number and someone answered. She said it was her sister. I emailed her and her sister replied. I suspect in most all cases that it was actually her and not her family.

Their latest post from January 25th.

its Kim, Donnas sister. Old news I know but....I have a pic of {ex’s} new girlfriend...she is discusting....gross....she weighs about 250 and boobs down to her knees....She sent my sister a pic and she forwarded it to me....wow we both couldnt stop laughing. I am glad my sister isnt sleeping with him anymore. Hey {ex}, any green pus comming out of your little guy??? You may want to go to the health department to get some test run...I am just saying??? LOL

Apparently over a month after her suicide, Donna sent a pic of his new gf to her sister. Further, their continues to be posts on the players forum from the same IP address used by Donna over a month after her supposed suicide.

Other comments left from Donna, family and friends.

HE DOES HAVE A NICE PACKAGE!

I came on here because on {player name} page it said that {ex} was lucky because he was with an older woman who was good at oral and loved 3somes. But its been deleted. So {ex} must have been telling someone.

They are thru! They were f buddies and she was no prize either! Don't know if he has anyone now probably the chicks at the swingers place.

Donna and Marc hadn't slept together in over a year before she met {ex}. He cheated first so She went out looking and found {ex}, thats what I read on another site about them. Have fun girl, I wish I had so many men wanting me! You must know what your doing!

Yes Randy this is Donna's sister she passed on the 8th and this phone will be shut off sometime today. a life beautiful life has been lost.

Off herself?? Who is asking this? She is dead. I hope that all the people involved in hurting and accusing her are happy! Let her rest in oeace and keep her off this ridiculous blog!

I previously advised Donna if the abuse didn’t stop, that I’d create this webpage to document her behavior for everybody to see. It’s done.

Hockeytown, Detroit
September 1st, we went to Hockeytown Cafe, just across the street from Comerica park in Detroit. We were going to the baseball game and I've always wanted to go to this restaurant.

065

The food was OK. It's worth going. At least once if you love hockey.

067

They have memorabilia everywhere. Mostly hockey, but baseball and football as well. Oddly it's close to the baseball and football stadiums and a big walk from the Hockey Rink.

What Happend to Sound Baseball?

I find that a lot of games this season are being decided by players screwing up. Let's start with Luis Castillo's total blunder.

Not only does he miss the easy game ending popup, but then he doesn't have the presence to throw the ball home and instead softly tosses to 2nd allowing the run to score easily.

Then there's Milton Bradley of the Cubs.

This isn't just a mental error. This guy makes an easy catch and decided he's gonna showboat, like he's amazing for catching a routine fly ball. He stands there like an idiot trying posing to maximize his camera time before throwing the ball into the crowd.

Still not enough? Today, with less than 2 outs and the bases loaded, Alex Rios of the Jays forgets to tag up on a fly ball, forcing him to return to third on what would've been a uncontesting sacrifice fly. Worse, the completely unsound baseball team known also as the Jays scored ZERO runs on 7 consecutive bases loaded situations before finally scoring on the 8th occurence via a bases loaded walk. No video yet on this stupidity, but we've already got Alex making a fool of himself on YouTube.

The typical MLB player is so pompous. I'm amazed that fans continue to want to watch these guys. And I haven't even mentioned that Sammy Sosa was added to the list of ballplayers that did steroids and repeatedly lied about it, including to congress.

MLB under Bud Selig has turned into a complete joke.

Understanding ARod
I have a question for you. Ten years ago when your trainer asked you if you'd do steroids for awhile with the potential to make 300 million dollars, why didn't you say yes? The answer for most all of us is the same. We didn't have such a trainer. With the potential of big money, most all of us would have answered yes. Most everybody that says otherwise is a liar and the others are simply fools.

The media blowing up the situation are the same people that put ARod on his pedestal. The media loves knocking those they put up their off. ARod has nothing to apologize for, especially to a planet full of jealous fools.

I wonder how many potential steroid using hall of famers chose not to use steroids, didn't make it out of AAA baseball and just got laid off from their bussing restaurant tables jobs. Doubt many.

We all have big morals looking from the outside. Layoff of ARod and start looking at the real problem; Bud Selig. This guy clearly covered up the steroids problem. Did he lie to congress, senate, grand jury about ARod? I don't know. But if failing to tell the whole truth is lying, then I know he did.

Thirty years from now, Bud Selig will be in the Hall of Fame. Bingody! Bangody! Boom! Who's the fool? You are!

Changing the Rules
Because of today's game, the rules of baseball regarding rain delays will change. In the 6th inning, with the Phillies winning 2-1, the rain was so fierce that the game should've been delayed. But since whether reports indicated that the rain wasn't gonna stop, that would've meant the Phillies would be the first team to win a rain shortened game to clinch the World Series. The umpire refused to call the game. The Rays scored a run in the top of the 6th. This means it's a suspended game and they'll continue the game tomorrow. Had the Phillies' pitcher simply thrown the first pitch wild of the plate, then the Phillies would be World Series champions as the umpire would've had no choice but to call the game and baseball would be extremely embarrassed. Rules will change.

Shea Stadium

Here's some pics from Shea Stadium when we attended the game on Sunday, July 27th.  We had some really horrible seats, but the kids liked it none-the-less. The kids were allowed to run the bases after the game and they got free icecream, baseball cards and a lunch box. Hopefully, the new stadium won't have any bad seasts like we had. It was a great game. Great catch. Homeruns. Great pitching. boxscore.

Get the code from MySpaceLayoutStore.

Shea Stadium

On Sunday, we attended the Mets-Cardinals game at Shea Stadium. It was an amazing game, highlights by an amazing catch by Carlos Beltran. Four homeruns. Almost a fifth, taken away dead straight center field by Carlos. Johan Santana pitched a great game as well. After, the kids were allowed to run the bases. The kids also got free lunch boxes, ice cream and baseball cards.

Baseball statistics: history or property?

CNN: Major League Baseball has claimed that intellectual property law makes it illegal for fantasy league operators to "commercially exploit the identities and statistical profiles" of big league players.

http://www.cnn.com/2006/US/01/15/baseball.stats.ap/index.html

Randy: Let me get this straight. MLB is choosing to lock-out the fans? I think this blog just found a lead topic.
