Dwyane Wade Dove Commerical

Sometimes, it's really hard to take a TV commercial seriously. Like the new Dwyane Wade father-of-the-year Dove commercial.

Did Unilever do any research on this one? It's hard to take a role model dad commercial like this seriously while knowing that a little research will tell me why he is divorced. I mean seriously, he plays in the NBA. They call them NBA "players" for a reason and it's not because they play basketball.

I'll do some research for Unilevel. Go to google and try the following search terms...

Pompous NBA

If an NBA team played like a NCAA college team, then they would win an NBA championship hands down. Unfortunately, most every single players in the NBA has a bloated egos, even the twelfth player at the end of the bench. They are pompous and selfish. Denver is the prime example. JR Smith, Carmelo Anthony and Anderson are three extremely selfish players. Carmelo can't hit anything tonight, yet he still has taken the most shots on his team. JR Smith has taken several ill-advised 3-pointers, taken a dumb technical foul for no apparent reason with a big lead and put in minimal effort on two free throws. Anderson, well he played amazing tonight, but he's more often than not, the selfish one. And somehow, the Nuggets are still winning by double digits.

Update: With 1 minute on the clock and a 17 point lead, the Nugget players took 2 shots with 23-24 seconds on the shot clock within 2 seconds. Basketball is not a team game. It's a very very selfish game when teams win  playing like that.

Basketball is a Game of Reffing

This is just another reason why I think NBA basketball is a stupid sport. I'm a big fan of basketball, it's my favorite game. I'd rather play basketball than any other sport. It's the only sport where I had a legit shot of making it pro and I'm 5'7''. I love the game of basketball, but NBA basketball is dumb. The NBA has to improve the reffing.

In game 3 of the NBA finals, Bruce Bowen blatantly fouls LeBron James in the closing seconds and there's no call. It's not like it was a debatable call. This is almost a flagrant foul. He intentially fouls him. Basketball games are decided by refs, not players. What's the point?

Kobe Drops 81, Makes History

NBA: Where were you on Jan. 22, 2006? It's a night that will live in basketball lore for quite some time. Kobe Bryant tallied 81 points against the Raptors in a 122-104 Lakers win. The 81 is the second highest single-game point total in NBA history, behind only Wilt Chamberlain's 100 over 40 years ago.

Randy: Somebody just put themself into the running for MVP. On the otherhand, we now know why the Raptors sucks. D-fence.

A little basketball strategy to argue over..

Mark Cuban: .5 seconds on the clock. Mavs up 81 to 80. Darrell Armstrong at the foul line to shoot 2. He makes the first. Does he try to make the 2nd free thro or intentionally miss it?
