AJ Burnett is the "Jeff Weaver" of 2009. Weaver also had awesome stuff, but couldn't handle pitching in NY --- Burnett is the same way. Maybe people are right, and he just doesn't give a shit. Happens to a lot of players, what with the money they make. Anyway, Burnett can get his ass out of The Big Apple as soon as possible. He can't handle being a Yankee. |

walks tooo much batters, is very inconsitant in the strike zone. is streaky . his side to side wind up should b more north south going towards home , poor focus and yes seems to not care so much . and something is serious wrong if a guy has nasty pitches and his era is 4;68 . |

Burnett sucks. The only good years he has ever has in his career are all ones when he is about to become a free agent. All burnett cares about is money... Nothing else. |

I just realized (and correct me if my source is wrong) A.J. Burnett has never been selected for an All Star team, and he's never received votes for a Cy Young award. His best statistical season was this past one, when he went 18-10 (blah) with an ERA over 4.00! Why was he so highly sought-after? Not only is he a mediocre pitcher, but he's been on the DL 10 times! The Yankees are going to pay him $16.5 million a year for 5 years. If Burnett repeats his best season for the next 5 seasons, the Yankees still will have overpaid. |

AJ is a classic overpaid thrower that has shown no sign of being a good pitcher or even wanting to become a pitcher. His career record speaks for itself. He should def be the 5th starter until he learns how to throw more then a 95mph fastball. |
