Forget about his pitches ever clocking in at over 80 miles per hour ever again. He's finished and he just wants to stick around to collect the last two years of his paycheck. He doesn't have the decency to retire and hand the money back. I understand people can lose their athletic ability, but he literally gave up after the 2010 postseason. He cares about his public image off the field but has completely stopped caring about his on field performance. The Giants need to cut him and pay him to go away. He's a total lost cause. He sold his soul to the devil and the Giants don't need that around anymore. I don't know how he can even face the team or the fans next season.

Forget the 12-6 curve - Zito should work on a new pitch. It's called a strike. And it would be optimal if the ball doesn't go flying over the fence a few moments later.

I would have to agree. He is paid to wander around Hollywood picking up D list models and wannabe actresses. He smokes, sniffs, hangs out with a bad crowd, has used women for his pleasure without regard to any feelings and transmitted disease. Do you think he should still be a Giant? Well yes, because that is what they all do and yet people still pay to watch these nasty trolls they call Giants....

Why is he even being featured on The Franchise since he's not on the Giants team now? He's on the team's payroll but he's no longer a team member. They should show a guy who's actually doing his work for the Giants instead of being paid millions to fly back to his LA mansion and sit on his ass. I don't think he'll be back this season and he may get released next year. A lot of people hate how he comes off in The Franchise. That he seems weak but most of all he seems like he's not part of the team. It's all about him. If he were a good team member of the Giants he would have stopped appearing on camera when he went on the disabled list. You know they have a right to decline to appear. I guess he wants people to feel sorry for him by showing his sick dad. None of it's going to work. It will make people think he's more pathetic.

I just wish Zito's contract was for 7 years, and impossible for the Giants to trade. Like him or not we are stuck with this guy. Maybe now that the Giants won the World Series already, and without him, maybe a lot of the pressure will be off of him now. He just might be a serviceable 4th or 5th starter the rest of the year. Let's hope.

Barry Zito will make the most STELLAR comeback in 2011 and make a substantial contribution in the late spring/ early summer, and then everyone hating on him on here will have to eat their words then jump on the bandwagon & say that they NEVER doubted him for a minute. He's in the process of the makeover, so of course it looks messy. But just you wait and see. *GO ZEETS!!!*
