Dude is garbage. Can't hit, can't field an underthrown ball, kaaihue swings the bat but we'd rather put in a guy who's looking for a walk when he's at the bat

Release Brandon Allen for Daric Barton... omg   what a huge mistake....  defensive substitution that can't pick a ball in the dirt...  Barton gives away game to Orioles...  Way to go Louganis...

Clear to everyone but Billy that this is the definition of a AAAA guy. Useless offensively and his defense stinks too. Is there nobody in the minors? Does his average have to dip below .200 to get him out of the lineup?

He sucks. Its surreal he's playing in the majors, if this was Milton Bradley he would have been released ages ago, but heck Billy Beane 'em white players.

How the hell is this guy in the major leagues? A first baseman in the AL that hits for less power than a 10 year old. I hope he breaks both his legs asap for the sake of the A's.

It’s Pitchers and Catchers Eve, so let’s getting to a few of the developing A’s items as our green and gold battery mates descend on Phoenix! 1. The A’s signed Mike Sweeney to a minor league deal. We love us some former Royals, don’t we? I know it is is just a minor league deal, but I can’t imagine them signing him to be the Rivercats’ DH. This seems to spell the end of Dan Johnson’s green and gold days, as Daric Barton is definitely the full time first baseman and Sweeney and Cust could plat
heres part 1 of this post, in case you missed it. im gonna be looking at some of jockettys individual transactions today. all the caveats from tuesdays post stil apply, and heres one more: the lists below are not (repeat: not) meant to identify "best" and "worst" transactions. theyre identifying which ones brought the most future production (as measured by win shares) into the organization, and which ones sent the most future production away --- but thats not the same as "best" and "wors
We were feeling like we had sort of come to terms with the 2008 As. Sure, most of our favorite players are gone, and the core of the team is made up of guys who love being injured more than we love chili fries (were looking at you Crosby), but we STILL felt excited about the season getting under way. We even bought our tickets to Phoenix just so we could watch a bunch of random guys in As uniforms run around playing baseball. And there were some things that actually gave us hope. Joe B.
Since my preseason awards special was a big hit, I thought I’d hand out a few MLB post-season rewards to guys who I felt really earned them. The Roy Halladay circa 2000 Award (Awarded to young prospect who absolutely bombed and needed to be sent to the minors) - Ervin Santana, LAA The Brady Anderson Award (Awarded to player who best used steroids to have one ridiculous season, only to never amount to anything) - Gary Matthews Jr, LAA The Juan Pierre Award (Player most likely to never hit a h
