Without Ortiz's timely hits, the Roid Sox would never have defeated the Yankees in the 2004 ALCS, sustaining the curse. We knew that Manny was juicing, but he wasn't the difference- maker that Ortiz was. I would probably have not hated him so much if he hadn't been so vocal about punishing roofers because he was fighting to keep his job. However, he made it a point to demand longer suspensions for steroid users. Here's to you, Big Fraudi, for making me even prouder to be a Yankee fan! |
