I've been watching him for a few years. Great when it doesn't matter. In tight spots or as a closer, forget it, he implodes badly. He'll never last as closer in 2009. |

I'm a Tigers fan,so maybe I don't belong here,but is Jon-Boy Broxton REALLY that fat? (I mean,have you lads seen Prince-of Pounds- Fielder recently?He's got to be 285-300 lb.- and at 5'9.5''!!!!SLOBBO!!!!) |

Like many preceeding comments before, Broxton sucks! And now, it appears, it will prevent the Dodgers from advancing to the World Series. Again, a mid-90's fastball, with NO movement. None. Zippo. Nada. And that's his BEST pitch! Torre is a good coach, but how does he keep him as a closer and not Saito on the NLCS roster! Is he losing it. Has he not seen Broxton's pitches?! Broxton should have been traded 3-4 seasons ago. |

God, Broxton is horrible. He can hardly throw a fastball by anybody, and even worse it has absolutely NO movement. How can you be a closer with a little above average fastball with no movement? |

I just got home from a Dodger game in which Broxton was the losing pitcher AGAIN. As soon as they put him in in the ninth with the score tied 3-3, I knew we were going to lose. He hit Matt Holliday and guess what? He scored the winning run. That fat ass is the worst reliever we have. I don't hate too many people but he's one of them. I literally HATE him. I hope he comes onto this site, reads what Dodger fans have to say about him, and kills himself. I watched him blow too many games. He is 300 lbs of uselessness. The Dodgers should trade him to whoever will take him. |
