So tired of hearing this story about the pitchers all day long for a week now...so now I have decided to stop listening and reading about this media crap. Will pay attention when something more interesting comes out...bottom line this has been blown up bigger than it really is made out to be.

Josh is a very nice man.  You are ungrateful for all that he has done for the community and for baseball.

Reply-to:Caps usually mean that the person is making a strong point.

All caps mean that a person is yelling. What is the person yelling about? And they post in caps and then make a second comment also in caps that sorta sounds like they're talking to themselves.

I TOLD YOU ALL IN THIS FORUM A YEAR AGO, THAT BECKETT WAS REALLY A PUNK DESPITE HOW HE REPRESENTED HIMSELF.  I CALLED HIM A DISINGENUINE PHONY THEN TOO.  TRADE HIM.  I ALSO SAID LAST YEAR THAT HE WAS A BAD INFLUENCE ON LESTER AND BUCKHOLTZ.  BOY, I NEVER REALIZE IT COULD GET THIS BAD

I wonder what the little girl's name is. Let's hope she's closer to Holly's size than Josh's when she grows up.

Reply-to:Im peeved at Wakefield too. He got his 200th win and was like ah the heck with everything else. Hes been with the Sox a long time. I used to think he was classy. Just another rich athlete with a big ego and an even bigger sense of entitlement.

Yes and a big belly too for a athlete!!!!!

Reply-to:Beckett has the skills though. Not saying we should look the other way but hes got the skills. The person Im totally disgusting with is Jon Lester. Hes been with the Sox since he was drafted out of high school at age 18. He has come up through the Red Sox system. Hes 27 years old. Youd think hed have more dedication to the team than this.

I agree with you Beckett does have the skills of a great pitcher just can't drink beer next season.  Jon Lester I am  surprised by him too!!!!  Just sad that they would do that.

And let's add Paps to the list. The worst offender of all imo. He also got drafted and came up through the Red Sox system. Hours after Tito was let go / or left, Paps and Tek were out drinking champagne with their ladies. Granted they were celebrating other things but just hours after Tito is gone ... they're clinking glasses and swilling champagne.

They should be walking around sad looking and apologizing to fans. The morons.

Pedroia deserves no criticism and neither does Ellsbury who had his vehicles packed up and shipped home. He and his gf flew out quickly afterwards.

Beckett has always been a pox on the Red Sox - his whole attitude is sour even when he pitches well. Lackey...well, his name says it all. And Lester...man, after all the support Francona and fans gave you when you were sick and then made a big comeback. You might be the biggest jerk of them all!

Just not right!!!!  I hope they are feeling pretty low about now!!!  Shame on them...Lackey needs to go can't stand that nasty man!!!

At this point, it appears that the starting pitcher for the day did NOT participate in the beer drinking.

Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Mon, 03 Oct 2011 09:55:56 GMT reply

All five starters were involved. Four inside with the beer and one guy pitching.

Well I take back what I said...it is Beckett that was the leader in drinking beer during the games according to ESPN..wow I am so disappointed to hear that shame on him I thought he was above all that..seemed so focused and really into the game ....All respect for him is gone now..making millions of dollars and sits in the clubhouse drinking and not supporting the team by sitting out on the bench the whole time...sad sad sad........
