Exactly what the last two guys said. I'm a die-hard Yanks fan and all Tex has is a ridiculous uppercut, no bat speed, footspeed, contact, but has a golden glove.

Teixeira has been an awful postseason player.  If the Yankees were smart, they'd dump this chump and get Fielder or Pujols to play 1B.

Tex is a dud in the playoffs.  Year after year it's the same thing!  Dang krap!  Tex did NOTHING for us against the Tigers!  I'm pissed!

here are teixeira's (Lil Abner?) lifetime post season stats for 6 seasons with all the teams he played for:

26 games,103 at bats,

22 hits, Batting Avg: 214

26 strikeouts

12 RBI s

He has the worst swing in MLB and is the dumbest player  to wit: if he takes one day off he forgets how to swing and has to start spring training again

IN mid summer of 2010 he was on one of his incredible surges, 8 homerws in 6 games when BOOM!

his wife gave birth, girardi sent him home for 3 days

when he returned he went 3 weeks without an extra base hit and struck out    30 times

send him to any team that wants him

this guys so overrated, and he looks like a horse.  by the way im not a red sox fan, but im pretty sure the reason youklis is on the dl isnt because "hes a whimp".  just saying. the yankees are the whimps if anything, they are in a division race right now and continue to sit out their best players for minor cuts and bruises.  boo hoo, swisher has a sore knee, tex has a broken baby toe.  this isnt freaken soccer, shut up and play
