Should've kept Ian Kennedy 4 runs in 2 innings give me a break. Send him to the farm and bring up Andy. He may be like 40-something but he's still got it!

I'm rooting for the kid to succeed because he's one of the Yankees' own-developed prospects, but he just hasn't proven himself to be a very good pitcher. 6 runs in 5.2 innings won't cut it.

They should have traded him before everyone realized he's a bust.

Ddidn't you used to be Phil Hughes?  What happened to you, man?? YOU SUCK.
"Us the season" thats laughable. Obviously he couldn't handle the pressuer, but no one was hitting the damn ball. Jeters old ass looked like he was done in game 2. Let's face it, the core four is old and was done. Except MO, this guy didn't even get a chance to pitch. The Rangers were hungry and wanted it, the Yankees thought they were going to breeze through, not so much. They weren't even prepared. It was such a joke.

I agree with this and I'm a huge Yankees fan.  I don't feel like the Yankees bothered showing up.  And I'm fairly certain, like you said, that they thought they'd breeze right through this series.

I'd be interested in seeing how the Jeter contract talk works out.  He's been on the decline and from what I understand, he wants 6 years?  Uh, no thanks.

This piece of sh!t jogged to 1st base when cano tossed him the easy out. That could have been the end of the inning but due to his retarded jog it cost us the entire season. Way to go Phil Hughes, now go jump off the Verrazano bridge you douche bag.

Over 11.00 e.r.a. says it all. He'll never be able to handle the pressure of the big games.
I'd like to personally thank Hughes for sucking last night.

wtf...my throat is hoarse from screaming 'what the hell is girardi thinking!?!'...only one inning that he pitched that he didn't give up runs...i can't f'ing believe it that girardi expects the offense to pull it out two games in a row...totally unfair to the offense!

I'm a 45 year old woman, but I could come in and walk two batters in the 8th inning of the first world series game.  This guy was good for about 3 games as a rookie, after that, he has been a joke.

He got that terrible underbite from licking Girardi's sac. Should fight for his right to party in the starting rotation instead of Mitre. God does Girardi blow with making tough descisions as a manager. He changes and moves the lineup more that Torre did and ALWAYS starts Dick Swisher. Yanks could win a game 8-0 and next night Girardi has a completely different lineup and the yanks lose.
