Hey Rocco, My 95 year old Mother (Sarah Davis Cox)met you @ the IHOP restaurant in Pasadena, FL while you were out injured last year.  You were so kind when she came over to your table and spoke to you & encouraged  you to get well & how the Rays needed you.  The rest is history & you made us proud as I am sure you will do for Boston also.  She will be @ the May 3rd game here @ The Trop with my sister & freind.  We miss you as a Ray & our best to a nice guy and gentleman.  Sincerely, Barbara Cox Major

Why is his name still listed under Tampa Bay?  Doesn't anyone maintain this site?  Kotsay, Smoltz, and Penny need to be listed with the Red Sox too.

Is he really as nice as everyone says he is?  I want to think that he's a stand up guy and not some jerk like a lot of players seem to be

Do you really think he will contact you? Come on stupid Americans!!

I believe that Rocco's the type of guy that WOULD contact a person doing a study on his current "health condition", knowledge is gained by sharing information of symptoms, medications, and effects when dealing the Medical Field, and it's a very HUMANE thing to bring more insight to one's condition to help others, so GROW UP!  America is where he chooses to call home by birth, why don't you go back to YOUR country if the so-called "stupid Americans" make you so angry?!  p.s. GO RAYS!

inspiration to kids AND adults.......

his 'never give up' attitude is a lesson to everyone.

Still lovin' ya big Rocco!

( At least tonight you'll be somewhat immune to that horrible Philly weather...being a native snowbird yourself.  LOL!)

Rocco you are such an inspiration to young kids, especially those with mito...like my son.  His condition is mild at times and loves to play baseball, when he can and feels up to it.  Thank you for sharing your story with us.

Rocco.......we Rays fans are SO proud of you and all that you've battled-back to accomplish this season.

I cried at the game last night when they announced you in the starting line-up

(I'm the crazy red-head who always yells "I LOVE YOU ROCCO" when i see you (uniform unveiling party and pep rally at straub park, from the Rays tank area, etc))

LOL!

Can't wait to see what you do in the World Series!!

I LOVE YOU ROCCO!!

:)

We are so happy for Rocco.  He has gone through so much.  Can not image how he must feel after scoring in the 8th at Fenway.

Rocco needs to have a muscle biopsy.  An electron microscope can better pinpoint the problem.  In the meantime he must drink at least a gallon of water a day to clean out the muscle waste from ATP metabolism, and he needs to have regular bloodwork to check CPK levels.
