john maine can toss my salad. he shows zero drive or emotion and coming off last season what did you really expect from him? total suckfest. mets rotation overall is a complete disaster and if i were johan i'd be pissed that im wasting the prime of my career in a deadend. and YES i am a met fan

did you see his line in a preseason game today against the Marlins......I mean preseason is supposed to be a time when pitchers pitch against a squad of half major leaguers and half minor leaguers, but in the case of the marlins, it is mostly minor leaguers in any other franchise and yet, he couldn't even get out of one inning? the mets are a joke (i'm a huge mets fan and I say that). They did nothing to upgrade pitching and while they will hide behind injuries and ailments with Reyes and Beltran as their excuse for underachieving this year, the reality is that they will fail because of pitching (or the lack thereof). John Maine couldn't even make the Orioles as a starter, but when the Mets acquired him, Rick Peterson anointed him a starter and the Mets have been dumb enough to believe it ever since.
