i really hope he's in the lineup tonight. I LOVE THE JULY 4TH GAME and it would be even better if I could watch him play (hopefully with a couple hits). GO ROCKIES! |

yeah i notcied that the other day that he wasnt in the lineup. it kinda made me angry but my dad was saying that Tracy may be giving Stewart a few chances to turn it around so maybe that game was more of a gauge to see where Ian was at at this time and that if Ian doesnt turn it around in the next few days, he may not start at 3rd for a bit |

Well CRAP!! Garrett isn't even in the starting line up today!! Not even as DH!! Gawd...this is NOT good for him!! Even with his decent at bats the last couple of games, the rest of the team has done better!! Every day I am just waiting to hear about him being traded or something!! AAhhhgggg!! |

looks like things r turning around at the plate. we are seeing a much better swing and contact. two 3 hit nights, 2 hits last night, promising sign :) |

He has had those kind of nights...=), making all of us hope he has pulled out of this slump. Then we are sadly disappointed again. And yeah, I agree with comments about Stewart...he is GOOD and younger!! There is NO denying that!! It has just been sooo heart breaking to see Atty decline like he has. I hope he has dumped that chick, that fake dumb blonde!! Curses like that don't go away easily!! Expecially when she used to cheer for the Atlanta Braves!! Just bad karma!! =( |

i totally feel you! it rele kills me to see stewart to good, but at the same time, its a good thing. im not gunna lie, his last two games made me a little happy...i know thats bad, i just wanna see atkins start playing like he used to! |

i know this is bad to say mainly because any hit for the rockies is good but every time Ian gets a hit it kills me because i know that that's the reason Garrett isn't playing and that his job is slowly disappearing with every Stewart hit/ good defensive play. it makes me sad to watch Ian play so well and Garrett struggle so much |

Yea...then Tracy puts him in as a PH in the 9th, with HIS average when the team needs a REAL hit. Can you believe it!?! And what does Atty do?? THE USUAL..ANOTHER OUT!!..at least you could see on his face the frustration!! Most of the time he shows NO emotion....maybe the reality check is getting to him!! And it's soo unbelievably frustrating to watch him as a fan to see this type of play from him. I can't watch when he is at the plate......uugggghhhh!!!!!! |

this truly must be. going from an everyday baseman who could safely hit .300 to a benchwarmer who never raises his average...at 29 years old. damn. this must really suck for him...watching his team winning all these games and never really being a part of it. :( |

This is probably VERY embarassing for Garrett!! In his hometown and he is sitting the bench. There was an article that said he would see some playing time on the Rockies site but it hasn't happened yet. I feel bad for him. Probably wondering what the future holds for him. You know it will kill him to leave all his team mates in Denver.=( |

True! Sadly, he has to figure it out on his own. Although someone should nudge him along a bit faster as he seems to be having trouble realizing how she has not brought out the best in him! He has tanked career wise as well as the type of person he is, hickey, etc. She is no good. Hopefully he realizes he needs to get it together soon, it's just painful to watch now, I'm almost glad when he doesn't play! |

And it looks like Garrett will be warming it even more with the way that Ian Stewart is playing!! Has anyone had any sightings of the players at the clubs?? Heard they have been partying pretty regular now!! The Rox are HOT!!! |

he didn't appear to be, but guess he is. Or he just got mixed up with the wrong, girl (immature, no class) and all we can do is Hope (pardon the pun) he figures it out and gets back to being a normal, mature guy. Find a woman, not a girl. Not one who has obviously affected his playing and his behavior- not in a good way. |

Hahaha...I am totally laughing right now....I went over to Barry Zito's board and it looks like he got a hickey too.....TOO FUNNY!!!! Posters are going nuts over there about it too!! Wonder if Hope gave it to him??? Guess there is more than one of "them girls" out there. But I think he already had a reputation of being that way. Never thought Atty was....so sad!! |
