That's very weird and kind of creepy.  Were they together in high school? I don't even want to imagine she had any kind of relationship with him in middle school.

Reply-to:She was a teacher at his middle school as well and transferred to Royal Palm Beach High when he started there. I went to school with him. Strange relationship there.

Patently not why the Rangers traded him.

So the guy had the yips. He was having trouble throwing the ball back to the pitcher. Went from the Rangers to Triple A Pawtucket Red Sox to Boston.

Good for him. I like the guy.

First marriage name Ashley (Perry) Patrick now Saltalamacchia. Married Jarrod (20 years old) on Tuesday, July 12, 2005 when he was playing in Myrtle Beach, SC.  Easy to find all kinds of info if you want to check it out online, except for her birthdate which is a big secret.

The Rangers traded the poor guy because his head is so screwed up from never having had a normal high school experience or dating relationships with girls his own age.  This woman saw a future payday with a sweet, young, naive, talented young man and cashed in on it.  Now she's in her 40's and looks older than that (at least before plastic surgery) so she's hanging on and digging in her claws.  She's worried that he'll get the help he needs and figure it all out and pursue the life he never had an opportunity to enjoy because she robbed him of his youth.  He is seeing a psychologist so hopefully it won't be long until he's free.  Sadly now there are children involved.

Ashley Dale Perry (now Saltalamacchia) went to Stetson University in Florida and graduated from college in 1993.  She's 16 years older than him and was a teacher at his high school.  She claims they didn't date back then (of course because he was underage) which is true if you define dating in the traditional sense.  They did hook up on a regular basis when he was in high school.  Everyone knew it.  He was one of the top hs baseball players in the country back then and she followed him everywhere.  She was married to a man she later claimed was gay and divorced him in time to cash in on Jarrod's million dollar signing bonus.  They married on a weekday when he was in the lower minor leagues and he played a game that night.  Jarrod is 25 years old now so you do the math.

I agree with the Sophomore.

Sox fans are all really happy that the Sox snagged this guy. He looked good in the minor league outings and now he's in Boston.

Very few photos of his wife on the internet - cept for this one.
