So much for Tek and Heidi Watney http://www.bostonherald.com/track/inside_track/view.bg?articleid=1181851&srvc=home&position=emailed That NESN hottie Heidi Watney and Red Sox [team stats] shortstud Nick Green were looking ever-so-cozy at Tim Wakefield [stats] and Jason Varitek [stats]’s recent Pitching in for Kids event. Later that week they were rather chummy over filet mignon and baked stuffed lobster at the Capital Grille . But Nick recently told a pal that the two are not an item. |

Divorced for infidelity. But some would say that doesn't make him a womanizer. YOU have no idea why they divorced, so stop pretending you do. Reading gossip on the internet does not make you an insider to someone's life! |

Life in the majors must be hard -- for both the players and their wives. Think of the high-profile existence they all enjoy -- constantly in the public eye, with little room for privacy. I'd imagine that most of the players are surrounded by groupies everywhere they go -- thereby making for constant temptations to cheat on their marriages. But that's an occupational hazard -- the price they have to pay for all the $$ they make. And mind you: we're talking about more money (in just one year) than the vast majority can even dream of making, in a lifetime. Most women would consider themselves fortunate to have either love or money, in a marriage: it's very rare that one enjoys BOTH. If I had been Karen, I would have found the occasional infidelity (and constant absence of her husband) a small price to pay, for a share in Jason's salary. But other women may think otherwise ... In any case, it's a tough combination to have love AND money. |

He is not a womanizer. Just because he is linked to different women on a gossip page doesn't mean any of it is true. |

I thought that Jacoby's girlfriend was named Kelsey ... never even heard of Cameron ... Good post. Jason womanized and cheated on his wife. So that gives all a chance to land in the sack with him. Maybe after a few more years of being Studley he would consider a permanent relationship. Meanwhile, he is out there for the taking. But you have to beware of STD. See Derek Jeter for a further explanation.

I thought that Jacoby's girlfriend was named Kelsey ... never even heard of Cameron ... It's all very bizarre and confusing: first, it's Heidi Watney who supposedly was behind the divorce. Then it was pointed out to be Erin Andrews. And now the latest is Cameron. Not sure whom to believe ... The only common strand running through all this is that Jason supposedly is some kind of womanizer who cheated on his wife -- and Karen wasn't tolerant of either that or his long absences (that come with the life of a traveling ballplayer). |

Why assume there was only one reason? Players play. |

Erin was a smokescreen. Cammie was the one that was doing him. |

Oh please! Erin Andrews was the reason behind the divorce. |

The woman that claimed to be Jacoby's girl, Cameron, is linked to Jason now. She is the reason behind the divorce. |

The Tek/Watney rumor was just that. He was not with a celebrity. Don't know how all these rumors got started. |

Actually, I believe the gal that Varitek has really been linked to is Erin Andrews -- not Heidi Watney, as originally presumed. |

To the last person that posted - you know nothing about him. If you do, is he f-ing Watney or not? |

He is a wonderful father to his three girls, and sees them every few weeks during the season and everyday in the offseason. That is why he's keeping his offseason home in Georgia. As for having more kids someday I don't think he would be opposed, but not so he can have a son. That isn't an issue with him. He adores his girls. |

He has no interest in having more children. |

It's pathetic to think that a man with children is spending more time with free, available women (now that he's divorced) than with them. Of course: baseball kids usually don't see much of their dads, anyway -- even if their parents aren't divorced. After all, there are all those road games ... But then, there are the home games and offseasons. Unfortunately, Varitek won't be able to be much of a father to his three girls. I can't help feeling suspicious that he wants to eventually remarry and have more children, in particular, a son ... |

"It got postponed because it was inadvertently left off the judge's docket. It wasn't a hearing; it was the start of a jury trial. As the Inside Track puts it: stay tuned." Maybe you should know what you are talking about BEFORE you post, huh? |
