i'm pretty sure they are facebook friends. the "trick" doesn't work if both people are hiding their friends list.

Maybe they have a policy of not following someone until they're married. Same reason I don't follow my siblings' significant others.

Yeah, the pregnancy rumor appears to have been just that. As I've said before, I'll believe it if any of the following happen:

1. Joe gets married before Spring Training, or gets married during the season (I don't see him as the type of man who would want to have a child outside of marriage.)
2. Joe himself says something
3. Maddie is seen out and about and it is very obvious that she is pregnant

Reply-to: If you didn't want to hear what people had to say, why did you ask if anyone really knew what his family/friends think? At least our opinions are formed by info that actually came from the mouths of the people involved, not speculation from someone on this forum with an agenda.

Yeah. I was totally talking about them saying this to the MEDIA.  I said they would say JOE OPEN YOUR EYES... JOE. Is Joe a part of the media?  No.. he's not.
PS, what happened to the "Maddie is pregnant and they're trying to get a wedding together really really fast!"   Or did I miss an abortion or miscarriage somewhere? lol

Also, how do you know that Joe's family isn't being 100% honest? They could love her. Like you said, nobody knows, INCLUDING YOU!

I agree that Joe wouldn't have proposed if she was awful, because he would have had plenty of people who would have been like "Joe, open your eyes."  It's possible she was horrible in high school, lots of people are.  But people do grow up.

I agree that if Joes parents, family and friends had reservations about her they probably wouldn't be engaged. His dad said he told them a week before asking her so that would have given them plenty of time to talk him out of it if they really thought it wasn't a good idea. I don't remember seeing that his dad said they really like Maddie and fully supported his decision to propose to her, I just remember him saying she is a great girl or something like that.

I agree with what is being said. If Maddie was the horrible witch that has been reported here, his family wouldn't let him ruin his life like that. Also, I can't believe that Joe is that stupid, desperate or lonely to stay with someone who is that awful. There is no way anyone can pretend for this long to be something they aren't. True colors always come through.

There were articles published in the Star Tribune, the Pioneer Press, and news reports back in December. Joe's dad said he and Teresa really like Maddie and fully supported his decision to propose to her. Joe's barber and some bartenders at restaurants they frequent didn't have anything negative to say, either. I would think that if someone in their circle did have a problem they would have spoken up a while ago. I also think that if Teresa didn't like Maddie that there is no way Joe would have popped the question.

No Joe was in Florida this week, I know someone who is down there now and he saw Joe on Thursday working out.

I'm sure Joe wants all celebrations before the season starts cause I think he's going to be concentrating on a successful season after last year.  Maybe the wedding will be in November right after the season is over so wants to get all planning done so he doesn't have to do too many things involving the wedding during the season.

How do you figure that? Did you follow the girl that she asked to go with her and read that girls tweets?  I just don't know how you could say something like this based on that one tweet.

Sounds strange ............he said he was going back to Florida on Monday.....would he fly back on Friday for an engagement party?  Maybe he doesn't mind flying.
