the only quote is the part in quotations (duh) the rest is simply conjecture by the mlb trade rumors poster (tim dierkes on october 25, 2010): Kyle Kendrick's work as the team's fifth starter was described as "a pretty good performance," implying that the 26-year-old will be tendered a contract and the 2011 rotation is settled.

here's what amaro actually said about kendrick and the phils pitching: On whether it is safe to say that starting pitching does not need to be addressed: “You can never not address things. We’re pretty pleased with our rotation as good and as it performed at the end of the year.....Kyle as a fifth starter, threw 180 innings and had a pretty good performance.”

Well, only time will tell we can all argue, bicker or listen to Media, which is all hear say OR we can wait it out and see what happens. Kendrick was 11-10 with a 4.73 ERA last season in 33 games (31 starts). The 26-year-old will likely compete with rookie Vance Worley for the fifth starter’s job in spring training.

sweet stats! kendrick will be lucky to stick in the bigs as a long reliever. phils could trade him if any other team is interested but that would most likely result in a minor league assignment for kendrick. bye bye
