HUGE congrats to Cuddy and Claudia today! They welcomed TWIN DAUGHTERS Chloe and Madeline this morning. Cuddy even shared a photo:

(Though, if I may confess: When I saw them pictured with little Casey in the August/September 2011 Twins magazine, Claudia did look like she could be pregnant. I didn't bother asking Cuddy himself via Twitter because 1) I think asking such a question is too personal, and 2) I would have been completely and utterly humiliated if it turned out that she wasn't pregnant. In a way, I'm delighted that my intuition was right on this one!)

Cuddy had the honor of being a pallbearer at Harmon Killebrew's funeral. Pictures from today:

Whoever wrote that article is an idiot. Cuddy is an outfielder/first baseman, not a pitcher. Also, he would never tell a kid to "get lost." A 40-something man who had been hounding him all day for an autograph, sure. But not a 12-year-old who asks him for one. Finally, I've met Cuddy a couple of times and I still maintain that he is one of the nicest, most extroverted, and most approachable guys I've ever met. I've never seen him turn down anyone's autograph request, especially in such a rude manner.

And Cuddy has discovered the re-tweet function. Be afraid. Be very afraid.

Cuddy is one of the nicest and most charming guys there is. Look up "Southern gentleman" in the dictionary and you'll see his photo. Also, his Twitter account is one of the better pro-athlete ones as he's actually posting on it an engaging with his followers.

On Twitter, Cuddy posted this super-cute photo of him, Claudia, and Casey backstage at a recent Wiggles concert in Virginia:

I hope my son is a little less awestruck when the show starts!

The "Yankee" fan is just an idiot troll. Wrote on Tolbert's wall that Matt lost it for the entire team. He didn't even play in the postseason. Wonder how the Yankee fan feels about getting their asses handed to them the last 2 games. Go Rangers!!!

Not bloody likely that Cuddy would play for the Yankees (or any other team for that matter). He'll reach 10 and 5 status after next season, which will give him the power to veto any trades that involve him. I also wouldn't be surprised if he has a no-trade clause for good measure.

Maybe Cuddyer should play for the Yankees, since the Twins can't seem to beat them in a single playoff game.

I didn't go to the Celebrity Waiter Event either, but the Twins' Twitter posted lots of photos and even a video of Cuddyer doing a card trick for a family there.

He said that he and his wife decided to do something like this a few years ago because so many ballplayers host golf tournaments or bowling nights for charity, and they wanted to do something that wasn't so clich. I haven't heard how much they raised this year, but there were 200 people at $250 a head, so that's $50,000 right there. They also had an auction and one item—a bat signed by Rod Carew, Tony Oliva, Justin Morneau, and Joe Mauer—went for $15,000! So that's at least $65,000 gross.

Last year's Celebrity Waiter event raised $55,000 for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Minnesota.

didn't go but they have aired lots of clips from the event on the news. I bet FSN will have something on this during the pre-game Tuesday.

I read that 17 of the guys were there - it was in an article on the Twins site.

I know I saw the following guys on the clips: Young, Hardy, Kubel, Repko, Butera, Cuddyer (duh-lol), Thome, Punto, Nathan, Mahay, Rauch, Slowey and Pavano. The article also mentioned that Duensing, Span and Capps were there.

I hope they raised lots of money for the boys and girls club!

have to run before I get busted here at work -lol

Cuddy once again you rocked in yesterdays game!  It is amazing how the Twins play you whereever you are needed- I hope they value enough to update your contract after 2011!  You make the game for me and I love driving my boyfriend mad cheering for you nonstop at the games!  Again your biggest fan in 104!   Gardy push to resign one of the biggest assets in our team!  and honestly this girlfriend thing-  really?  What do you write about the other team members?  Cuddy is hot and which ever road he takes is his deal... looks like his wife is pretty intelligent and he shows his love in his smile....  get over it and watch the game...
