Blackie is going under the knife on Friday to deal with the entrapped nerve in his right forearm. The estimated recovery time is 6-8 weeks, which doesn't concern him. Blackie usually starts throwing around Christmas and expects to be ready for Spring Training.

Blackie's season is officially over. He was put on the 60-day DL retroactive to August 22. He has an entrapped nerve in his right arm and hasn't been able to throw for quite some time. Now that he's out for the year he can focus on getting ready for Spring Training and spending even more time with his daughter.

There is a photo of Nick, Alicia, and Payton in the new Twins magazine. When I get a chance I'll scan it. I will say, however, that Payton is VERY cute!

I have yet to see a photo of Peyton as I'm hoping that there is a picture of her in this year's family photo album in the Twins' bi-monthly magazine. But I did ask him about her at TwinsFest in January. He seems to enjoy being a Daddy a lot.

Blackie had arthroscopic surgery on his right elbow yesterday to remove bone fragments and chips. He should be ready for ST in February.
