Look at his stats. His batting average, on base pct and slugging have all been declining since 2008. He is 32 (?) and looks 38. The Angels didn't do their due diligence. Now the Angels' owner will fire everyone else for his own mistake when Albert doesn't produce. And he will probably go on the DL soon for that surgery he has been putting off for years.
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Mon, 21 May 2012 15:09:51 GMT
Most of the guys I know who live in St. Louis are glad that the Cardinals didn't sign him for 10 years and too much money. BTW, Rafael Furcal is outhitting Albert for a lot less, and he's a shortstop!

Greed is the word of the day ladies and gents. He left for Anaheim for money. He was a made man in St.Louis and left for $$$$. And now he sucks. Karma is a bitch. He is getting what he deserves.

2 INFIELD HITS he is leading the allstar vote sad to see the best hitter in baseball doing this and the big media is not saying a word. i lose respect for a sport when they cannot tell the truth he sucks. when he hits a home run espn can call him great again just say he suck.

He will be lucky to get 5 home runs at this pace. Either hit or throw in the towel.

It is sad to think that the Angels may be saddled with a has-been but he has been in decline for the last few years and now he seems to be lacking the timing and bat speed needed to play at the big league level let alone be a super start.  Whoever negotiated the contract for the Angels should have conditioned the obscene salary on pay for performance metrics.   It is very sad to think the Angels got taken by Pujols' agent.  Very sad.

Fat Al should try closing his eyes when he swings.  Looks like he has the choking chops.  Greed is not a good thing when it comes back around and chews on his fat ass.  Dufus bum.

In a big matchup vs rival Texas, Payjols comes up 0-fer. Nice.
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Fri, 11 May 2012 23:12:12 GMT
He "gives" for tax purposes. He is not a nice person. He is surly and short tempered. He has been catered to in St Louis and will not enjoy that in Anaheim.
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Thu, 10 May 2012 05:40:34 GMT

Jesus will damn all of you for your evil comments.Albert is a man of Christ and he is doing good deeds with the money. His saviour will be what matters to him not the home runs or hits you all seem to deem important. Jesus has a plan for him.

REPENT before its too late!

A piece of garbage!  This flapping stinking sack is never going to be the same.  I predict less than 20 HR's and a sub-500 season for the fallen Angels.  I pray this turd continues to stink it and that his teammates come to see what a prick this jerk is.

Thank god STL didn't cave and give him more money than they wanted to offer. I really thought he would have at least 2-3 good years in LA. Karma is a bitch, turning your back on the club that took care of you. In LA, you won't get the standing ovation you got in STL when you were struggling, not gonna happen. Good riddens.
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Wed, 09 May 2012 03:46:02 GMT
Pujols is just another greedy ass player that dumped a team that took a chance on him when no one else would. He was a great player in St. Louis and i'm sure at some point will come out of his slump (  some) but will never be the player he was.  Karma's a bitch ain't it!!!!!!!!  Nobody is worth 240 million dollars to play a game they are suppose to love to play. Why don't you give some of that money to some of the poor people you cum guzzler. I have 3 of your jerseys that i want to autograph by  shitting  on and send them to your stupid ass....

Actually he does't suck nearly as much as Artie Moreno is just stupid. Giving a 32 year old HULKING power hitter even 50 million dollars is insane. What The Angels need, and what they had when the won it all in 2002 is good scouting and player development. They don't know. Any DUMMIE can spend money. When was the last time the Yankees who are LOADED won the World Series. I used to love the Angels. But they are not on my caca-list. First blunder was DARING to name the team the LA Angels (of Anaheim) BULL CRAP. LA is as different from Orange County as Oakland is to San Francisco. THEY ARE NOT THE LA ANGELS OF ANYWHERE.

Suckjols is far worse than A-rod or any other choker. He has gone over a 100 ABs without a HR. I can't think of any other 32 year old (supposedly) playing this bad. Makes you almost feel sorry for the jackass.
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Sat, 05 May 2012 04:20:08 GMT
Angels shut out again tonight. Puhole went a nice 0-4 to reduce his average to .194.  A very satisfying evening.  I can now rest comfortably.  Good night.
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Sat, 05 May 2012 03:54:37 GMT
5 RBI's is unfathomable.  These guys rack up RBI's left and right just by putting the ball in play with men on third.  This has got to be the worst performance by any "star" player ever with the exception of some of choke jobs that A-Rod has put up as a Yankee.  Pujols' head must be a bag of puss by now.  I don't even think he knows where he is when steps to the plate.  Head-case for life now!!
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Sat, 05 May 2012 03:46:43 GMT

This piece of garbage made several million for the month of April.  He's taking in another $150,000 for tonight's game.  0-3 so far bringing his average to .196.  I hope this slime bucket continues to choke like the bum that he is.  What a joke.

Seriously? Ouch. Leave the guy's family alone. That's just not cool.

FWIW, I don't blame Pujols for taking the money. I just wish he'd been honest about it, and not ripped the Cardinals for "being mean" to him, and not getting an attitude over people trying to have his back. That's what makes him a douche nozzle

Still can't hit a lick....He is choking up big time pure and simple.  Some call it "being uncomfortable at the plate."  Maybe he has the batting "yips" like in golf when they freeze up on short putts.
Recommend that he get some hot girl friends and stay drunk for a couple of days might pull him out his slump.

He's not a bum, he just didn't see the trees through the forest, just like the executives and alot of people in power. There is a time to just be happy for what you got. Like a roof over your head or a job.

Reply-to: Cut the guy some slack! Yes, He should be putting up huge numbers, but Pujols was always a beast, tearing it up in the MLB. I guarantee he returns to form shortly. Its a lot of pressure w/ all the AP sucks hype and a lot of dollars spent on him. You have to feel frustration on both sides of the table, if your the Angels organization. Seriously,One year where he is not comfortable at the plate at the starting point of the season and already hes a bum. They did win a WS w/ AP. Without him they would not have that championship. As a Red Sox fan we are tough on our players, but the best fans around. This is AP we are talking about,so slumping is a lot better than him being injured and on the DL for 60 games or more. He will snap out of it and his drought...MARK MY WORDS..He will continue to be a beast in MLB.

It's business everywhere and everyday. The big executives look through the forest and fail to see the trees. So many athletes out there waiting to get the chance to play, with less money. It's just like high school or any other organization that has clicks.  What if the scouts went with the old fashion way of baseball picks by looking in our own backyard. Possibly lots of Pujols out there just being ignored and cheaper. Pujols needed the money I suppose and greed might had got the best of him.

Now, Diva Alberta is upset with hitting coach Mickey Hatcher for relating what he said in a team meeting about the slump will not continue, saying that stuff should be kept private.

Uhh, hello, Albert. Mickey's got your back, dude. Don't bite the hand that feeds.

http://larrybrownsports.com/baseball/albert-pujols-upset-with-mickey-hatcher/132869

I think it's so funny that all the free agents the Angels sign end up being busts. Is it something in the water in Orange County?

Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Tue, 01 May 2012 18:05:30 GMT
Poopholes is smarter than he looks. A washed up has been. He knew his game was going in the tank, especially after last year when he was having problems in the first part of the year and saved his year by hitting good down the stretch..He grabbed all the loot he could and got out of town.  For a man who is considered to be 36 or more years old, he did well. The real question is who were the goobers who made the terrible decision to sign him. Bet they are sick to the stomach. He needs to get some good HGH and he will be up to .250 before you know it.

All i can say about Albert is - HAAAAAA, HAAAAA, HAAAAA!!!! Thank God we didn't sign him - and got Beltran instead.  Maybe by July Albert will get to where Freese is today (5 HR, 20 RBIs)  oh yeah, Yadi even has better numbers that Fat Al, as does almost our entire starting 8 in st. louis.  I think we have a couple pitchers with better batting averages and close to his RBI numbers so far.  Not to mention, Albert is really 36 years old.  A scout and KC knows the truth straight from the horses, or should I say Jack Asses  Mouth.

Reply-to: He was already getting a ridiculous amount of money with St. Louis.  How many millions are enough?  Classic case of greed by a man who had so much going on with a World Series win and all the fans behind him. History will not be as kind to him as before.  Now they found out he can't hit a curve ball. Angels got the short end of the stick.

Only 10 years left on his contract for a guy who looks like he took steroids, now since testing his numbers have been in decline, this year collapsed.

Hes playing like a 38 year old ex-steroid user who has got his last contract already.

For Angels and Angels fans, he and his contract suck.
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Fri, 27 Apr 2012 01:37:03 GMT
He does look a lot smaller in the neck, chest, and shoulders areas. MLB tried covering for him like they did aroid. Aroid is such a ass someone outed his test results that were never supposed to be released, pujols will be next one to go down and the roid era players will finally be done!

While watching opening cermonies at Bush this year and seeing all the greats walk on the field it occured to me that Albert did more than just take the money and run.  The day he signed that contract, he sold his legacy!  He will never be treated like Stan the Man.  Had he stayed with the Cards, St Louis would have loved him forever.  He could have stood forever beside Stan in front of Bush Stadium!
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Sun, 22 Apr 2012 14:22:41 GMT

Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Fri, 20 Apr 2012 16:44:46 GMT
Someone already said everything far better than I ever could (the person who talked about their Dad pointing out Pujols' big head).  To that I can only add: loyalty and integrity go a long way in baseball, two things that Albert obviously knows nothing about.  The fact that he left the Cards almost immediately after such a dramatic WS win shows just what he thought of a GREAT group of players. But he's literally on the losing end now...as we watch his career slowly sink into the Pujol...I mean Poo Hole!!  Bottoms up!

Pujols lost his chance at being the face of the Cardinal franchise for decades to come. He was loved, respected and admired. Now he is just another superstar relocating for the payday. His image and place in the history of the game has diminished. Let's see what kind of love he gets from the Angels in 7 years when they are paying him $30 million a year to DH and hit .250 with 10 to 15 home runs.
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Thu, 02 Feb 2012 00:02:38 GMT

I was another fan who really believed that Albert Pujols would break the mold of greedy players blessed with the ability to play a kids game for a hell of a lot of money. Like all knowledgable Cardinal fans, I remember when Albert first came up with the redbirds and had plate discipline like none other. He was so humble, but with consecutive years of greatness Albert started getting the "Superstar Big-Head." My dad would always point that out to me, and I would always ignore it because of the hall of fame numbers that El Hombre kept putting up. I have never seen such a great right handed hitter in my life, and I myself have played a lot of baseball even at the college level. I thought there would be no way in hell that Albert Pujols would leave such a great baseball town, in fact the best baseball city in America. With that being said, after viewing his 60 minutes interview, I knew right then and there that the Cardinals were not in Pujols' cards. True christians do not hold grudges, and Albert Pujols holds grudges. He openly admitted the grudge when he was selected in the 13th round of the MLB baseball draft. He was not happy with the Cardinals top brass when they refused to talk to him about the A-Roid money that he was demanding. This was just after the Cardinals chose to keep their promise to him by staying competitive by offering Matt Holliday his big pay-day. After refusing to talk to Pujols, this is where the grudge started and where it stayed. He stated he wanted to remain a Cardinal for life, but he was after the money he thought he was entitled to. He wanted to remain a Cardinal for life, but for all the wrong reasons, which we all found out to be the money. What a waste, its like he never played here for me. I could care less what records he breaks moving forward. He was a has been, never will be when speaking of the truly great players this "talented rich" organization has honored. Just a shame that is all I can really say

Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Sun, 08 Jan 2012 03:03:15 GMT
Albert really made a big mistake not retiring as a Cardinal.  The Angels fans will not give him any respect when his abilities slide (and they will).  They will expect him to put up numbers like he did when he was with the birds.  He really put himself in a bad position.  The Cardinal fans would have loved and honored him forever as the best Cardinal of all time.  But, that is not to be now.  Albert  has hurt himself in the long run.

I cannot believe you left, but I honestly feel sorry for you as I believe it'll be the biggest mistake of your career, something you'll deeply regret someday. I hope I am not correct for your sake. I hope you heard from the Lord and made the right decision, that's what I truly hope for you. God Bless.

It's 2012 and Pujols still sucks.

The Cardinals got more production from Pujols than the Angels ever will while only paying him something like a total of $114 million.  Kudos to Cardinals ownership for sucking him dry and winning 3 pennants and 2 world series and then not wasting any more money on him while he slides down the tubes.  Bill DeWitt (Cards owner) is a true business genius.
