Okay Screw
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Tue, 25 Aug 2009 10:44:14 GM, who ever wrote this crap. Jose Contreras is getting to the age where he can no longer pitch as many innings, and is better used as a reliever. The Phillies right now are using him as a reliever and he is doing better than ever. If the white sox would have just done that maybe they wouldn't such so bad

Why doesn't he get it through his thick skull and lackadaisical attitude about winning that he's a crucial cog in this machine. He just doesn't get it. I think after he won the series and lost his stuff, he never wanted to continue it. He's dead to me. Thanks for 2005 but Contreras doesn't deserve anything from now one except our ire. He's SUPPOSED to fire 7 or 8 innings of one run ball, not once in a while. He doesn't have the baseball mind anymore. He also makes bad decisions on the field. Konerko could've gotten that grounder, but NO. Jose runs into his way! Why? Cause Jose is selfish, cause he feels like he has something to prove, whatever the case; enjoy retirement and never throw a ball for the White Sox again unless you have a deep-seated passion to light a fire under your own ass and WIN! You Bastard!

Via Ed Price: Appearing on Boston radio station WEEI last Friday, Epstein said, "Kevin Brown and Mike Mussina spent the whole time bitching about [their trip to Japan in 2004] ... and by the time the Yankees team got back from the trip they were all using it as a crutch." Told of the comments, Mussina said sarcastically, "Yeah, we used it as an excuse for winning the division." Well, Moose (at that time) did moan about making the trip.
