Hey everyone, I don't live in Texas or near a MLB Stadium and have asked a lot of people nicely and respectfully to help me obtain a "Full Team Autographed Baseball or Bat for this great 2012 Texas Rangers Team". If there is anyone who can help me obtain this and make it authentic I am not shy at paying well for something I have asked for all season and want to have for my current collection. If you can help or know of someone who can please let me know. Jason

Mr. Hamilton,

I am a very big fan and truly enjoy watching you play the game of baseball.  I also am in early recovery and almost had six months of sobriety until today.  When reading about the recent events that that happened earlier in the year I truly felt your pain.  I have experienced the best six months of my life being sober physically, emotionally and spiritually; I know that I must try and learn and grow from my moment of relapse today like you have in the past and continue to do.  I am originally from Cincinnati and you instantly became my favorite player the day the Reds signed you to a contract despite your history.  I view you as an exceptional role model and an incredible person.  I wish the very best this season and will always be a fan of you professionally and as a person.

For the person slamming Josh Hamilton. He made history last night May 8, 2012 against Baltimore.

Orioles fans gave Josh Hamilton a standing ovation on his performance. Orioles show respect for Hamilton, who hits 4 HRs to lead Rangers to 10-3 win

Josh Hamilton hits four home runs for a place in baseball history

Hamilton, the sixth AL player to have a four home-run game, set an American League record with 18 total bases and was one shy of breaking Shawn Green’s major league record

Hamilton is hitting .406 with 14 homers and 36 RBI. ESPN points out that Hamilton also leads the league in percentage of first-pitch swings (56.5 going into the game). On balls in play on the first pitch, he now is 10-for-22 (three homers, eight RBI).

Josh Hamilton is one player in a team and Baseball is a team sport.

From what I have read this site reads more like a hate site, than a fan site!

Hamilton is an awesome player, yes he has his demons and he has not hid them from anyone, he has spoken about them openly, plus how many other ball players do you know that have had to deal with 'killing' (inadvertently) a fan.

Josh never worked to get good at baseball, it is a God-given talent and the fact he is still playing after all that has happened to him is a testament to his character and person.

I think Hamilton is a pretty good ball player. If he wasn't he wouldn't be playing pro ball. I love baseball when I was growing up I played summer league I started out in center field but my coach saw that I had a pretty good arm so he wanted me to pitch. Every tournament we went to we won and I got the best pitcher award everytime.

Hey Josh, I'm a die hard Rangers fan and have been keeping up with ya for awhile now. You have a wonderful testimony and you seem very strong willed. However, I pray that you would remember to try and be an example of Christ in all that you do... Even those press conferences, where you seem to lose site of that. You've progressively come off as disrespectful and somewhat arrogant. I'm not that kind of person to knit pick, but when you profess you're Christianity... Please don't go to the media with the rude behavior you've had. For those baseball fans that aren't Christians, they'll possibly looking at you're image for the validity that being saved is the most wonderful thing on earth. I do feel like you show that. You blame Dave Anderson, you expressed you're annoyance with the media through the playoffs and now you're saying you don't owe the Rangers anything. Sir, I think they have done more for you than you have for them. The front office didn't get injured a number of times. Besides any of that, what was the point of it? I'm a huge fan of yours, I'm a Christian and stuff like this really upsets me because, though I trust you're sincerity, you seem to lose site of the posture our Lord is constantly bearing on us to put out. I hope you get a chance to read this. Have a good day.

Josh would it be possible to get an autographed copy of your book to present as a Christmas gift to a young man who is in the Marine Corps.  He is now serving on active duty, a native Tar Heel, and the best amateur 3rd baseman I have seen in my 50 years of playing and watching baseball. Your story is such an inspiration, the Lord has blessed you with amazing talent, and we will continue to pray for you to accomplish great things in your career and your impact as a role model for young and old alike.  Prov. 3:5,6

Dear josh,
Not so long ago I was self-absorbed and payed little attention towards Christ. over the last 2 years I've realized all the glory goes to christ and the demons that were inside me vanished. He's given me new life, and for that I glorify him in all his ways. I love you josh, You were a part of that. Your testimony, your faith, your determination has helped me in more ways you can imagine. Im from new york and one day I want to meet you to tell you personally from the bottom of my heart thank you. Your a light in a world that is filled with dark and embody the true spirit of humbling yourself before god. plus dont be disappointed in not coming home with the world series, know this " I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." ( 2 Timothy 4:7). In the end of the day, this is the proof of a champion. thank you for helping me see the light, as I know will help others in their search for christ. God bless you josh. Thank You..

Tonight is the night Josh!  Game 6 of the series.  I finished your book today, and as a Christian I want to encourage you to always stay focused on the redemptive work our Lord completed on the cross of calvary.  He knew why He was on this earth and He completed the task... not for Himself, but for the benifit of others.  Praying for your today and in the future!  God bless you and all those who make your heart smile.

Dear Josh, I am watching the Rangers play Toronto. I live in Ontario so I am a Jays fan. However, I love to watch the Rangers because I get to see you play! You are such an inspiration. I get to talk about your success story to my kids, and they tolerate my love of baseball. In Canada, it is not fashionable to be a Christian in public. The entire country suppresses Christianity. I am so happy I get to point you out to my kids; you are a rare opportunity to show my kids that it is possible to be a Christian and also follow your dreams!!!! I have to admit that I pray for you all the time- especially lately. I pray that you can continue to press on. Do you still have an accountability partner? Whenever I watch the Rangers on Canadian TV I pray that the announcers tell your story. Thank God for role models like you! In God's love Stella

Josh, On July 1st, I started reading your book. I read it in two days...which is extra special because I hate to read. I am a high school coach who battled another type of addiction...gambling. I nearly lost everything. Without turning it over to the Lord, there was no hope for me. I started praying for you daily since reading your book. I have two children, 16 and 13...who are at a critical stage in their like. Good role models are important...but they must also understand there is only one true role model...Jesus. Faith is important! I don't know how much time you have in offseason, but would like to invite you to speak to our team. It is a God thing! Thank you! Jeffmck2000@yahoo.com

That is a great comment below--that he substituted one addiction (drugs and alcohol) with another (Jesus).  It is sad for him, and I do hope that he can find true recovery from his demons.  Too many folks fall victim to the spiritually and intellectually lazy worldview of assuming the universality and righteousness of the United States' bizarre religiosity, but it's a symptom--a demon to be exorcised, if you will.  It'll be a helluva road to hoe to cure his ills while being attributed de facto superhumanity in the Bible Belt.  He would benefit from some intensive inpatient therapy to work on the full scope of his compulsions--not the least of which is his religious indoctrination.  May he seek it.

Josh,

While I am sure there is very little chance of you seeing this email, I write it in the chance that it comes across you view.  I don't respect your past, but I extremely admire the way you have amended your history.  You are an extraordinary person, who will teach many lessons to young people for years to come. I hope you will not let this tragedy, of which you are not to blame, stop the amazing influence which you are able to have on young people.  I wish you the best, and so you are aware, I am not a Ranger's fan (in fact, I'm a Giants’ fan), but more so, I am a fan of you.  I wish you the best, and hope you know you have many people who believe and support you.

Best wishes,

Richard
