Mostly they all have a semi permanent place for the season. Some of the boys live in Royal Oak, Birmingham & Inge lives in Canton I believe, which is pretty far from the park, but he lives here all year, what a lad, eh? At one point I lived just a scant mile from Magglio in Birmingham, wow!

I hadn't read anything about them breaking up, so I assumed they were still together. Justin doesn't seem like the kind of guy to dump his woman as soon as he hit the real big time & all that hoopla of his recent accolades. I hope he is loyal, his playing ethics seem to bare that out, but who knows.

Actually he has been seeing the same woman for many years now. She has attended Tigers charity works like the wives do. Very attractive brunette, named Emily Yuan I think is how it's spelled. But I think like most rich men & especially athletes, he most likely has cheated, a few one nighters here & there. But as far as I have heard, she is still his number one lady.

Hello Jackie, I can't seriously believe Mr. Verlander would write such a mean hearted thing to a fan, I am pretty sure he enjoys seeing his fans faces at the park. But the part about not being able to be friends is true, as I am sure he has many, many fans & can't possibly be friends with all of them. So keep attending as many games as you like & root for your favorite players.

Hi there 8 year old boy, you are of course welcome to come here & post messsages to Mr. Verlander. Some silly girls may think otherwise, but this site doesn't belong to them.

And I am pretty sure Justin welcomes all posts from his real fans not just girls who want to date him.

JUSTIN VERLANDER WINS AL MVP AWARD

Mon Nov 21 03:12pm EST

What a haul: Justin Verlander adds AL MVP to Cy Young

On next week's edition of Hoarders .... Justin Verlander(notes)?
Hey, why not? The big Detroit Tigers righthander may not make for the type of wacky television favored by A&E, but he's laying down his own monopoly on the AL's award hardware. Verlander made another big addition to his personal trophy case on Monday afternoon, nailing down the 2011 AL MVP award to display alongside the Cy Young prize he won last week and the AL rookie of the year award he won in 2006. He's the first pitcher to win both the Cy Young and MVP since Dennis Eckersley in 1992 and the first MVP from the Tigers since fellow pitcher Willie Hernandez won both awards in 1984.

A few items on Verlander's victory and the vote totals below:

• With a number of good candidates but no clear-cut winner, there will definitely be some deserved appeals for the men who finished behind Verlander's final total of 13 first-place votes and 280 total points. Boston's Jacoby Ellsbury(notes) finished second with 242 total points (four first-place votes) while Toronto's Jose Bautista(notes) was third with 231 and five first-place votes. Curtis Granderson(notes) and Miguel Cabrera(notes) rounded out the top five. (BBWAA has the full voting breakdown.)

• I'm actually surprised that such a large number of writers were open to placing a pitcher atop their ballot — those 13 votes are more than I expected — but it definitely destroyed the theory that Bautista was going to ride a wave of second-place votes to a win in a year with multiple candidates.

• The vote I down't own would have gone to Ellsbury, who posted a .321/.376/.552 line and led baseball with 364 total bases in an unbelievable comeback season. Not that I'm against pitchers being named MVP if they're clearly the most deserving candidate. Rather, it's because I believe an everyday player should hold the tiebreaker in a crowded and competitive field like the one we had this year. I suspect that Ellsbury would have received more first-place votes had the Red Sox not collapsed in September (a month in which he posted a .358/.400/.667 line with eight homers and 21 RBI) and that's a shame. Bautista had a great case as well while playing for a team that didn't make the playoffs, but I see Ellsbury's season as rating a tick or two better.

• Your headscratching tally from the BBWAA breakdown: Michael Young(notes) getting a first-place homer vote from Dallas Morning News writer Evan Grant, Yankees reliever David Robertson(notes) getting a token 10th-place vote and Verlander being left off one ballot entirely (guessing that one was from the true hardliners among the "no MVPs to pitchers" faction).

Verlander Wins AL Cy Young In Unanimous Vote

by The Associated Press

NEW YORK November 15, 2011, 04:11 pm ET

NEW YORK (AP) — Justin Verlander breezed to the AL Cy Young Award on Tuesday in a unanimous vote after the Detroit Tigers' ace won the pitching version of the Triple Crown.

Verlander dominated the balloting in much the same way he humbled hitters with his 100 mph fastball, sharp curve and wicked slider.

Now, the big question of the baseball awards season: Will he also be chosen the AL MVP next Monday?

"Do I think it's possible? Yes. Would I like to win it? Of course," Verlander said during a conference call from his home in Virginia. "It's kind of a weird scenario."

"Pitchers are on the ballot," he said. Bolstering the case of all pitchers, Verlander pointed to "the tremendous effect we have on the day of our game."

No starting pitcher has won the honor since Roger Clemens in 1986, with Dennis Eckersley the last reliever to get it in 1992. Many observers say pitchers shouldn't win the MVP, period, contending they already have their own award. Verlander's year, though, has ratcheted up the debate in a crowded MVP field that includes Curtis Granderson, Jacoby Ellsbury, Jose Bautista, Miguel Cabrera and more.

Verlander led the majors in wins by going 24-5 and topped baseball with 250 strikeouts. His 2.40 ERA was the best among AL pitchers who qualified for the title.

Verlander drew all 28 first-place votes in balloting by members of the Baseball Writers' Association of America and finished with 196 points.

Jered Weaver (18-8, 2.41) of the Los Angeles Angels was the only other pitcher listed on every ballot and second with 97 points. James Shields of Tampa Bay was third with 66, followed by CC Sabathia of the New York Yankees with 63. Tigers reliever Jose Valverde, who was perfect in 49 save chances, was fifth with 28.

Verlander pitched his second career no-hitter, won 12 straight starts down the stretch and helped the Tigers take the AL Central, their first division title since 1987.

In many games, the 28-year-old righty was simply unhittable. He pitched a no-hitter on May 7 at Toronto, missing a perfect game just by an eighth-inning walk on a full-count delivery.

In his next start, he held Kansas City hitless for 5 2-3 innings. Johnny Vander Meer is the only pitcher to throw back-to-back no-hitters.

Later in the season, the 6-foot-5 star took a pair of no-hit bids into the eighth inning — one of those came on July 31 against Weaver and the Angels, a 3-2 win at Detroit.

"I felt like it was a statement game," Verlander said. "A lot of people had eyes on that game."

Verlander also led the majors with 251 innings, all while issuing a career-low 57 walks. He pitched four complete games, including two shutouts.

This was the ninth time there was a unanimous winner of the AL Cy Young and first since Johan Santana in 2006, when he won the AL pitching Triple Crown. This was the fourth time a Detroit pitcher won it, with Denny McLain earning the award in 1968 and tying for the honor in 1969, and reliever Willie Hernandez winning in 1984.

McLain, in 1968, and Hernandez went on to win the AL MVP awards, too.

A four-time All-Star, Verlander became the first former AL Rookie of the Year to also take the Cy Young. This win included a $500,000 bonus to his $12.75 million salary in 2011.

The only thing missing from Verlander's pitching resume is a World Series title. He is 3-3 with a 5.57 ERA in eight career postseason starts, and went 2-1 in the playoffs this year as the Tigers reached the AL championship series before losing to Texas.

Clayton Kershaw of the Los Angeles Dodgers is the favorite to win the NL Cy Young when the results are released Thursday. He won the NL pitching Triple Crown, leading with a 2.28 ERA and 248 strikeouts and tying for wins at 21.

The AL and NL Managers of the Year will be announced Wednesday.

detroit's staff stinks. verlander can't locate his pitches and his only decent pitches are his fastball and curveball(if he has one). weaver and haren are the best one two punches in the majors. one of those guys alone is better than detroit's whole staff

Please Ladies, leave Justin alone about his personal life.

He is either the top 1or 2 most important figures for us guys concerning sports here and respect his personal life.

He does have a sweet Porsche though!!
