So happy Michael is coming to the Rockies.  He is a wonderful person.  I played golf with him in Ft. Myers during spring training, and became an instant fan.  Michael, can you contact me through this website?  Like I said at Heritage Palms, I can babysit, if needed.

All good things must come to an end. Cuddy has decided to take his dimples to Colorado, agreeing to a 3-year, $31.5MM contract with the Rockies. I had a feeling this would happen. It's sure going to be strange to be at a game next year and not see his smile on the videoboard. It'll also be weird not hearing his Virginia drawl in radio ads.

Best of luck to Cuddy and his family in Denver.

HUGE congrats to Cuddy and Claudia today! They welcomed TWIN DAUGHTERS Chloe and Madeline this morning. Cuddy even shared a photo:

(Though, if I may confess: When I saw them pictured with little Casey in the August/September 2011 Twins magazine, Claudia did look like she could be pregnant. I didn't bother asking Cuddy himself via Twitter because 1) I think asking such a question is too personal, and 2) I would have been completely and utterly humiliated if it turned out that she wasn't pregnant. In a way, I'm delighted that my intuition was right on this one!)

Whoever wrote that article is an idiot. Cuddy is an outfielder/first baseman, not a pitcher. Also, he would never tell a kid to "get lost." A 40-something man who had been hounding him all day for an autograph, sure. But not a 12-year-old who asks him for one. Finally, I've met Cuddy a couple of times and I still maintain that he is one of the nicest, most extroverted, and most approachable guys I've ever met. I've never seen him turn down anyone's autograph request, especially in such a rude manner.

Cuddyer is bloody horrible in the outfield, his range is even worse than Kubel's for God's sake. He's stiff at first and can't dig a routine low throw to save his life, He is a below average hitter for a corner infileder OR outfielder and at $11 million is the most overpaid healthy player in the game. He is the poster boy for 3 and out, Gardy's only on field connection to ALL these years of postseason failure. Cuddy indeed SUCKS!!!

The "Yankee" fan is just an idiot troll. Wrote on Tolbert's wall that Matt lost it for the entire team. He didn't even play in the postseason. Wonder how the Yankee fan feels about getting their asses handed to them the last 2 games. Go Rangers!!!
Anonymous (Veteran) wrote on Tue, 19 Oct 2010 16:09:32 GMT
Not bloody likely that Cuddy would play for the Yankees (or any other team for that matter). He'll reach 10 and 5 status after next season, which will give him the power to veto any trades that involve him. I also wouldn't be surprised if he has a no-trade clause for good measure.
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Tue, 19 Oct 2010 11:54:48 GMT
Maybe Cuddyer should play for the Yankees, since the Twins can't seem to beat them in a single playoff game.

It was great to see Cuddy back at the Dome yesterday. He is now a Viking
Anonymous (Veteran) wrote on Thu, 14 Oct 2010 05:10:34 GMT
Cuddy had knee surgery today. He's been having pain all season but it wasn't anything he couldn't play through. It went well and now he's resting and getting ready to rehab for ST in February.

Seems like getting swept by the Yankees in the ALDS was a blessing in disguise. I don't even want to think about what could have happened to Cuddy if the Twins had made it to the ALCS  or even World Series this year.

I didn't go to the Celebrity Waiter Event either, but the Twins' Twitter posted lots of photos and even a video of Cuddyer doing a card trick for a family there.

He said that he and his wife decided to do something like this a few years ago because so many ballplayers host golf tournaments or bowling nights for charity, and they wanted to do something that wasn't so clich. I haven't heard how much they raised this year, but there were 200 people at $250 a head, so that's $50,000 right there. They also had an auction and one item—a bat signed by Rod Carew, Tony Oliva, Justin Morneau, and Joe Mauer—went for $15,000! So that's at least $65,000 gross.

Last year's Celebrity Waiter event raised $55,000 for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Minnesota.
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Mon, 16 Aug 2010 21:36:54 GMT

didn't go but they have aired lots of clips from the event on the news. I bet FSN will have something on this during the pre-game Tuesday.

I read that 17 of the guys were there - it was in an article on the Twins site.

I know I saw the following guys on the clips: Young, Hardy, Kubel, Repko, Butera, Cuddyer (duh-lol), Thome, Punto, Nathan, Mahay, Rauch, Slowey and Pavano. The article also mentioned that Duensing, Span and Capps were there.

I hope they raised lots of money for the boys and girls club!

have to run before I get busted here at work -lol

Can we find CUDDY?  8)   Cuddy in right, Cuddy on 2nd, Cuddy on 3rd, Cuddy on 1st... Hmmm sounds like one helluva player to me- aside from the players who can only play 1 position and sometimes hit-  I think the Twins are lucky to get a player like you and your hitting-  well hmmm when they let you hit you get on  bag- otherwise the sacr. hit gets other home- I think these comments on you are from NONeducated ball players.  Hint look to the bench and or 3rd someone is telling Cuddy what to hit when needed!   Aside from that Cuddy you are hot!  Cute dimples!  Section 104 loves ya!  I will defntly. buy season tix again next year just to watch you!  OK thats a lie - 90% is true-  and you out there certainly help !!!  keep smiling

The Twins entered Tuesday night's game tied with the Royals for grounding into the most double plays in baseball this season, with opponents turning two 53 times in the Twins' first 44 games. To a player, does it seem as though Minnesota has grounded into enough two-out outcomes to lead the majors?
"I personally feel like I'm leading the majors," right fielder Michael Cuddyer said with a laugh.
Well, Michael, that's because you are.

Cuddyer entered Tuesday's game tied with Kansas City's Billy Butler for the most GDPs in baseball with 12.
