Mr. Rivera, or Mikes uncle whatever you want to be called. we know you are a proud uncle but its just a joke. have a sense of humor. all of us from the bronx who has known mike since he was a baby are also proud of him. we would spent many hours with him hitting ground balls when he would come to Crotona park with Edgar. we just want Mike to remember where he came from and give back from time to time by making an apperance now then and show our struggling youth in the Bronx that they can also do something with there lives. like Mike! so Uncle stop taking the jokes so serious. do you really think he has some chicken heads waiting for him in the bronx? come on! what you should take serious is that there are alot of kids out here that can use a major leaguer like Mikes help and maybe he should think of a way to help them. Hang in there Edgar your boy still loves ya!

typical pro athlete, have a child out of wedlock and dump the chil on the new girlfriend.  I think Matt Morris, who is also from Middletown, pulled the same shit.  Just awful.  I feel sorry for the girl.

He never mentioned anything about a child, but I do know he's divorced, so it's quite possible.  He is a good guy and hilarious for whoever said that.  He's one that can always make you laugh and tons of fun to go out with.
