Are you talking about the manager who led the Red Sox to win World Series in 2004 and 2007? Is that the Francona you're talking about? You know, the two World Series that we won in four years? The two World Series after going 86 years without winning one?

I am 14 years old and dustin is my idol i look up too him and  i broke my ankle and it was the same one he broke( well he broke his foot) and hes the worlds best baseball player in the whole world!!!!!! i play 2nd base like him, im number 15 like him im almost the same height as him and the best thing is that we have the same birthday:)

People from boston dont know how to concede good points about other teams. heres the deal. is dustin pedroia good?....hell yes hes good. he plays with a lot of heart and attacks the ball at the plate unlike any hitter Ive seen. in terms of defense hes solid..hes quick and a good double play man. that being said...and i know ever boston fan who reds this is gonna disagree..bust you all have to face is....Robinson Cano is a far better all around player. I mean come one he has one of the best swings in baseball. and they way he moves is so smooth and so skillful. boston fans will disagree and say he sucks. but the true baseball fan is able to admit where their team lacks and where other teams excel. so boston give it up because cano is just better..but pedroia is still far above average

I know you're talking about Cano's swing ... but have you ever noticed the batting stance of Kevin Youkilis? OMG. It's the most ugly thing in the world.

I'm not sure why your tone is so hostile. Over the decades, the baseball knowledge of Boston fans is legendary and that's according to past and present Major Leaguers. They understand the intricacies of the sport of baseball.

Dusty has one less year of MLB service than Cano and he's one year younger.

Pedroia's BA for last year beat Cano's very very slightly. Home runs and RBIs were much better for Cano this past year but you can't compare them career wise b/c Cano has an extra year of service. But Pedroia's OBP was significantly better than Cano's --- .387 to .349.

So they're pretty close.

Cano has a good swing for sure but he bats left and Pedey bats right so it's like comparing red delicious apples to Granny Smith apples. Cano's swing is smooth  and yes it is one of the best swings in baseball. I think Griffey Jr. had a beautiful swing and of course Ted Williams. A-Rod does too. Albert Pujols is magnificent. If he's playing a televised game then I record it or watch it live b/c he adjusts his swing to the pitcher and he does that for every at bats and every single pitch. It's a thing of beauty.

So you have your opinion of Robinson Cano and that's fine and it's a good opinon to have.

For me personally, I wouldn't say that one is a far better player than the other though I enjoy watching Cano play more than I do Pedroia. I go to 160 ball games every single year including Double A, Triple A, Spring Training, and MLB. I've been to 18 different MLB parks. I read about baseball all the time. I can't help it. It's just my thing. It's obvious I like talking about it too.
