This guy is horrible. Just horrible. He's good defensively but he has to be among the worst offensively in the major leagues. Completely useless with the bat. He needs to be sent down. I seriously don't know how a guy with as much talent as he has can do this bad. Ridiculous.

how many more washed up players can chicago get?beckham will never be more than a 200 lifetime hitter.dunn was let go by his last team cuz he sucked.rios will never get above 220,againm.time to get rid of ozzy and kenny williams first.then get rid of steve stone broadcasting his mono tone voice,i started watching south park instead of listening to the sox game.time to clean house.

He needs to be out of the lineup and off the team permanently. Put Vizquel at second for the rest year, and have him bat second behind Pierre, like he did last year, which helped Pierre tremendously. Beckham is sadly ill-equipped for the major leagues, and has shown a total inability to adjust as major league pitchers will adjust to anyone who hits the ball. A called third strike, without ever swinging the bat, with bases loaded and nobody out is the reason we lost the game and is totally inexcusable for any big league hitter, or even a 13 year old for that matter. Be gone, Gordon.

he's the next joe borchard... could have had any great player for him 2 yrs ago - aka roy halladay - now were stuck w/ below average defensive second basemen that looks completely lost at the plate for the second year in a row... taking four pitches, 3 right down the f-n pipe for a K w/ bases loaded... pathetic... an mlb'r should feast off that situation... gordon let colon off the hook - this loss is on him.

his career avg. is .258. he strikes out too much, doesn't steal bases, and makes a lot of errors. why are the sox giving him so many chances?
