I play this game with myself...who do I like least in the lineup on a particular day?....in other words, who do I have the least confidence in....I've whittle it down to 4...they are Walker, Bird, Romine.......and drum roll please....Drury.......I don't count Wade.....he's just called up when about 8 Yankees at one time fall prey to injury and the peanut vendor's not available. Of the 4, Romine has to play and sometimes he hit a home-run when the Yankees are up by a dozen runs or so....Walker I vacillate between this guy sucks and this guy really sucks, I'm starting to believe Drury's a stiff and we were hoodwinked....after all he came from somewhere out West, and who cares about what happens out West......that leaves me no choice than to place Bird #1 on my POWER RANKINGS SUCK LIST!

This Bird creature is getting out of hand...He plays (literally),everyday right into his critics hands. He's becoming to easy to criticize, he went 1-4 against the Orioles yesterday and struck out 3 times........did you get that........3 times!!! Against the historically bad ORIOLES. It's like he's auditioning to be demoted or traded! I know, I know, Judge and Stanton strike out a lot, but come on look at the ROI...........with Bird he never delivers......and look at his putrid batting average.....that isn't an aberration, he's had a low average for the last 3 years!!!

but but but such a lovely swing...screw him, the choker opposite reaction to Torreyes a kid that can actually play and perhaps could be another tiny phenom like Altuve if giv en a chance

Saturday, Bird was 0 for 2, going into his last at bat......he hits this dying quail that goes about 40 feet.....which really means another hitless game.......but wait the shortstop was playing back, the pitcher assumed somebody was going to catch a pop fly, it drops somewhere to the left of the mound and lo and behold there's iron legs Bird Shit standing on first base, grinning like an idiot....anyway, the box score is going to read 1 for 3 and the Yankee Brass, (Bird apologists idiots), who I'm convinced don't watch the games but read the box score, will say........."I think Bird is coming around"

Now, it looks like the Yankee Brass is trending Bird......this is so inconceivable to the rest of us.......what is choking Yankee Management that they won't give up on this guy.......do they think he's going to come back to haunt them with another team.......say hitting 35 homers driving in 100 runs annually? Do they watch the "scouts" mouths and not pay attention to Bird when he is at the plate? Does he secretly iron every player's uniforms and Management is eternally grateful? He's batting ninth in the lineup, the last place in the order, which means Austin Romine (who can't hit a lick, please ignore his fast start), which they're kind of giving up on him......but they actually refuse to trade him......unbelievable!

Bird is the most overrated player the Yankees have had in Years..
Tired of hearing about perfect swing and Yankees love him.
They made a mistake with him, he's a bust. His career batting average is 200.
He's done nothing as a pro to keep playing..Dump him already

0 for 3 last night with a walk. No thanks to Bird. The pitcher was so wild, I would have walked. O for 2 with a walk today. Easy strike out. He is painful to watch.

Right now is a good test to see if Bird is a legitamate major leaguer. This will be a determinate on how much work Cashman will have to do before the trade deadline. Right now at least one starting pitcher and perhaps a vet first baseman.

The end is near for Greg Bird. The Yanks will acquire Moustakas from the Royals and move him across the diamond to first base. Greg Bird was always a sub-par hitter that incredulously had experts fooled into thinking he was going to develop into something great. Every once in a while this phenomenon happens in life, where the "experts" or the opinion makers plead with us to give something time and great things will evolve. There was line that Brad Pitt delivered in Money Ball, when responding to a scout's assessment of a ballplayer.........."if he's a good hitter, then why doesn't he hit good"? The perfect analogy for Bird....
