I have this strange feeling that he and Joe Mauer are still fighting. Jose must still be feeling the sting of Joe's catty comeback when they publicly exchanged words after a game that the Twins should have won. (If that's what happened in the public eye, I can only imagine what must have gone down in the clubhouse.)
