Last year he was swinging earlier in the count. Now misses those curveballs in the dirt by nearly a foot and grounds into a mean double play often

Toronto needs to consider other options. Smoak is a disaster. One of the biggest disappointments of the 2018 MLB season.

Hitting .235 and dropping like a stone. Time to realize last year was a one off and send him on his way . His base-walking costs the Jays a few games a year as he turns doubles into singles and with two outs he advances only one base on hits to the outfield.

Has the largest collection of golden sombreros in MLB

It is obvious to anyone that last season was an aberration for Smoak. He will be back to striking out over 100 times again this season and hitting sub .220

Playin the POS again tonight. Hoe he hits in middle of order. That way he can leave more people on base, create more double plays and strike out with impact!!!!

we know what he can do . Strike out. He has one of the lowest batting averages for a first baseman in history. Are you crazy? Or his mom?

Reply-to:the Jays have no on base people , no base stealers, but they do have this useless POS. Why?

Give this guy some regular at-bats, and we'll see what he can do.  Having Edwin around did Smokey no favours last year.

2 nights in a row in winnable games the Jays send this turkey up to pinch hit. They might as well have sent my late granny.

if he were in triple A he might be able to hit .240 until they started him on a diet of curve balls.

has he got photos of Shapyromaniac with some barnyard animals? We cannot afford automatic outs, which often come in the middle of rallies

You know, the same stupid swing, at the same pitch, for the same strikeout, and then the same 'yeah whatever' look on the face...that we've seen what? 100, 200, 500 times? Smoak is a joke!

I will not attend another Jays game if this hack is on the team. I can't stand to see another long, looping home run swing on a pitch out of the strike zone for strike 3. Oh, and a swing that misses the ball by not inches, but feet!
