Worst contract in sports. Ever. Not even a million dollar a year player.

Whoa dude. There's a huge difference in the value of being able to, about 24.9% of the time, get a hit and what a police officer does. Miguel's value to society is way higher than the EMT who comes to your house and saves your life. Miggy is only making $160K per day that he's out, and that is barely enough to pay for child support. So, everybody should lay off Miggy. He's value to society is bigger than the rest of our miserable lives combined. He's such a good human being. Quit thinking your life is harder than his. He has it much worse. If he wants to cry and pout, he deserves that type is superstar treatment.

I pulled my hammy today and still had to work 12 hours on an assembly line for $9.50/hour. I tried to tell my boss that I wanted to be paid while I sat out because I no longer feel as though anyone appreciates my working through the pain. He told me to shut up and get back to work if I want to eat. So, I guess I'm saying I'm in the exact same boat as Miggy and can empathize with his terrible, terrible plight.

To all the people out there working hurt every day for $15/hour, Miggy apologizes. For a minute he forgot he was making $28 million per year more than you...for playing baseball...poorly. Mig's bad!!!

Could this guy be a bigger jerk? Crying like a baby over fans not appreciating him for playing hurt. Saying his pissed off over Cano's suspension. Not bothering to learn his teammates names. As long as he's willing to keep stealing the Tigers money for no return he should shut up. Doesn't he realize neither the Tigers nor the fans want him or his fat contract? Sometimes people just think their worth more than they really are. Such a useless loudmouth.

Don't ask me to come back early Bro. $29,000,000 doesn't buy me playing through pain Bro. It will take a lot more than that to make me play through a strained muscle Bro. You gotta pay for play!!

Still the best .249 hitter in MLB Bro. Need more protection In lineup Bro. Not my fault Bro. Six more years of Tigers having to pay me $28 MM and I don't have to hit, run, or play D Bro. My agent is the greatest Bro. Not giving any of this money back for pour performance but would have held out for more if I outperformed my contract Bro. #guaranteedsalary Bro.

Outperforming contract due to tremendous clubhouse presence Bro. Need renegotiated contract Bro. Worth more money Bro.

Yikes Bro. He's at .209. Hopefully the glove is worth $27.900,000 because the stick ain't worth minimum wage.

World's 5th largest sports contract. Hitting .249. Good deal bro!

Miggy looks to be in perfect shape Bro! Worth every dime Bro! Gold glove contender Bro! Better than Ted Williams Bro! Do not expect him to remember your name or float you a loan Bro! Consummate team player Bro!

Triple crown winner. The next Babe Ruth. Pay the man more so he'll stay forever. A great role model for the kids!

Miggy is tearing it up. He's so undervalued at $30MM per year. Start the MVP voting!

Whoa! You act like Miggy is no longer the best player in the American League.

Miggy is overpaid, overweight, and overrated. His cutesy little kid act is old. He was on a trajectory to be a HOFer, but has been average to below average the last 3 to 4 years. No longer HOF material.

Miggy has allegedly been working out like crazy in Detroit during the winter. Trying to get a six pack set to go for spring training. Eating only fruits and vegetables. Telling people this is the year he's going to step up and earn his Salerno.

Miggy is coming to spring training in the the best shape of his life. I guarantee it. Look out MVP!

Miggy treats his body like a temple so he can easily play at a high level for another 15 years. Why are the Tigers not trying to extend him beyond 2024? They will lose home if they are not careful!
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Fri, 03 Nov 2017 21:33:43 GMT reply
Miggy will be the best hitter in baseball for the next 10 years. Lock him down now!!!
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Mon, 30 Oct 2017 22:42:10 GMT reply
Lock him down! Don't let him walk after 2025 or else the fan base will revolt. Whatever it takes, Avila has to get a new extension done.
Anonymous (Sophomore) wrote on Sat, 21 Oct 2017 00:35:48 GMT reply
Rumor is the Tigers are looking to extend Miggy another 5 years out to 2029 at $35 million/year. Smart move as he will definitely outplay his current contract and command more than $40 million per year in the open market come 2029. That have to lock him in now.
Anonymous (Sophomore) wrote on Wed, 18 Oct 2017 00:03:50 GMT reply
Miggy is still the premier power hitter in baseball. Do not bet against him winning another MVP in 2018. The Tigers are looking to extend his contract as it is one of the more favorable contracts for a player of his caliber. Throw in his gold glove fielding and the Tigers are getting a legitimate steal.

Miggy is thru. He needs to lay off the burritos. FAT!

He's the next Albert Pujols? Miggy at least made it to 35 years of age before the wheels fell off...Pujols fell apart at 30.
