I love to look back and see what people have said about the players that get traded to the Yankees,  so many of you hated Russell, but there were also many who liked his effort and applauded his achievements,  and there were many,  and saw what a great player he is.  I don't know if he smokes pot, that's a drug I don't think the league should police since it's more of a performance reducing drug, but I had my doubts about his ability given the last two years.  I must say though he is without a doubt a great fit for the Yankees.  I must then thank all you who did not like him in Dodger blue and especially to the mangement effort of the Dodgers to walk away from such a great player and allow the Yankees to pick him up.    Thank You      Thank You  Thank You very much!  GO YANKEES!!!!!!!!

That's BS!! It's not Russell's fault at all. the team has to shapeup or ship out. Matt all he does is dream about Riahanna, got the stars in his eyes, Andre wasn't ready to come back with that broken finger, the pitching needs to improve, esp. the bull pen, everytime Sherrill is put  in we lose, he's  no good, like Tomko all over again, They need to get the act together, and stop trying to win it on their own. they all try too hard alone to do it, they need teamwork!!!!!!!!!!

All bs asside, there is NO doubt, the recent slide with the dodgers is not cus of torre, it's not the pitching, it is poor base running, the 0-4 at bats, the poor contageous attitude that is Russel Martin that is responible for the decline of this team. FACT

He does alot for the team, he's in there working the whole 9 innings catching  while the other guys just stand there and wait for the ball to come to them. I'd like to see some of you guys do that for 9 innings or more. Yeah, right!!!!!!!!!
