how do the braves not have a solid middle infield for the first time in 2 decades?

pastornicky is atrocious in the field, he's a short stop with all the range of a bad catcher. At least dan uggla makes up for his horrible throws and sub par range by occasionally hitting a ball 600 feet...

but how do you go from Escobar to Gonzalez to pastornicky the retarded man child?!?!

I'm surprised that he is getting the nod after such a short time in the franchise. His minor league stats are worse that the unimpressive Jack Wilson and he cannot hit at the major league level. Plus, his fielding is horrible. I have no idea what the braves are thinking putting this kid as our starting shortstop and calling the team a playoff contender
