We traded Napoli and Rivera for Wells based on his past seasons . Everyone thinks he is overpaided just because he isn't doing well . If he was hitting .390 then none of you would be saying anything . Lay off the poor guy , at least he is trying . He has very good defense at least . Stop being greedy assholes . I don't sew you guys out there trying to play major league baseball . So what he's having a bad season get Tf over it . He's helped us in many ways . Like RIVERA was doing any better than Wells in now . But say whatever you want . But if you want to hear a shit load of bullshit about how much "Wells sucks" then check out @Itsleeharkens on Twitter . He's an asshole too . Thanks for reading . I have faith in you Wells !

Trading Mike Napoli and Juan Rivera for Vernon Wells was such a waste. Mainly Napoli, I mean come on, how can Tony Reagins expect to have Jeff Mathis playing as the everyday catcher hitting .200 with 5 home runs every year? Also I'm fine with Juan Rivera staying in Anaheim because when he's on his game he can be just as dangerous as Vernon Wells and if Rivera didn't work out, they had plenty of outfield depth with Mike Trout and Jeremy Moore. Now look what has happened, the Angels management is now paying 26 Million dollars to this guy who can't hit a lick above .200 and are stuck with him for the next 3 seasons.

Vernon Wells may be the difference in the Angels winning this year or losing. Is Tony Reagan responsible for this guys signing? if so he REALLY should be fired. You put Carl Crawford in there EVEN PAID TWICE AS MUCH and the Angels have a shot. I mean this guy has been horrible. EVERY GAME IS 0 FOR SOMETHING. You can write this season off primarily because of what a total bust Vernon Wells has been. HE'S THE WORST.

The angels have still not learned from their past mistakes!  Kazmir, mathews jr., rodney, etc. etc.  Now they sign vernon wells and eat the rest of his contract, what idiots!  Did reagins even bother to look at his stats away from the dome in toronto.  They are atrotious!!  I am so frustrated because that money could have been spent on someone good.  They could have just taken a chance on beltran from the mets because he only had one year left on his deal!  But reagins gets wells and now were stuck with him 4 more years!  That was the most pathetic trade ever!  Even worse, texas now has napoli who is tearing up the league!

ARTE mORENO is one of the biggest jackassholes in modern sports... tony reagins should be relased for this travesty of deal and moreno should just sell the club because the constant bull shit decisions hes making, WE( the ANGELS) are never going to win a championship, while hes the owner.... real sad man... didnt we learn something from the gary mathews jr signing??? this is gmj all over again, i just hope that we release his ass way before the contract is up and let his sorry ass sit at home and be a 120 million dollar house husband... scumbag

C'mon guys, Vernon's a great player, his lifetime OBS of .330 is amazing! $15 million a year is such a steal. Averaging 15 homers, 60 rbis and a .245 average, as well as a .191 average with RISP, amazing!

Then again, what do you expect Wells to do, he made a smart business move; take advantage of the terrible management of Toronto Sports teams. Vince Carter did it, Bryan McCabe did it, now it's time for Halladay to get a big pay day and suck for the rest of his career. And as usual, people wonder why Toronto teams can't win shit. Unbelievable.

if i knew that i could strike out or ground into a dp everytime the bases are juiced and make 20 MILLION, i would've kept playing baseball a little longer

AAAAAAAAAHHH.... This guy just has zero clutch ability. I've only really being paying attention since the all-Star break, But as it stands, I'm pretty sure that  if  a mob formed and they were looking for someone to be tared and feathered, I don't know how quick I'd be to defend Wells from that outcome....

I got him on my fantasy team this year figuring this has got to be the year where he puts it all together...WRONG

If the man had any dignity, he'd walk away from the rest of his contract and say "I'm just not that good at baseball, I will inconvenience the lives of my teammates and our team's fans no further and pursue a career as a janitor"
