Yadier Molina is the best catcher ever.
I love reading forums like this for good laughs but never post. This time I couldn't resist!!! Obviously most people on here, not all, are not well educated or knowledgable when it comes to baseball. Example: best defensive catcher in baseball, hit .305 for the season (higher avg. than Pujols, Holliday, Berkman, and Freese), 14 HR's, and 65 RBI's. Finished in the top ten in hitting in the National League. Three time Gold Glove winner, fourth coming shortly, and is managed by the 3rd highest winning manager in MLB history. Wow, not sure what more you could want from a starting catcher that plays 140 games a season. With all that said, if you are a true Cardinal fan, which I am, you better hope the organization does whatever they have to do to keep, yes, Yadier Molina in a St. Louis Cardinal uniform. If you dislike Yadi now, you will really dislike him when he's on another team beating up on the Cards.

Reply-to:yeah he hit into another double play to kill the first inning last night.  Good thing the Cards had already scored 4.  He'd be better off just bunting like a pitcher.

yadie off to a great start in 2011 (2 for 15).  If he's not striking out, he's hitting into DPs.  Oh yes, LaRussa picked Gerald Laird as backup catcher--he's the only guy in the majors who hits less than yadie.

YM is the best catcher in the 2000's by far maybe not the best in hitting but shure is the best defensive wise. all haters need to stop posting due to be wanna bs. You are ALL just mad that he can throw out runners on an everyday basis. Goodbye

the cards should TRADE Molina this winter while he still has some value.  They need a 2b, ss, and 3b.  The have 2 GOOD minor league catchers, and one bats left and one bats right.  Molina grounded into ANOTHER double play with runners at 1st and 3rd in the 9th inning last night.  I have never seen a guy hit into more DPs than Molina to kill rallies.

yeah right yall say yadier molina aint good thats why he is wearing a ring and joe mauer isnt but joe mauer is a better hitter than him and besides how many of you guys are in the big leagues anyways you have no idea how hard it is to hit in the big leagues the BEST defensive catcher in the league hands down and yeahh tony larussa is an idiot dude whoever said that you are an idiot for saying that number 3 all time in wins as a manager with 2 world series rings man ppl need to think before the talk  while everyone is sitting here argueing over this tony larussa will be a futer baseball HOF but yet there is ppl on here calling him an idiot wow what has this world come to wow yadier molina throws out 41% of runners and ppl on here are saying he sucks and tony larussa 2 world series wins and 3rd all time in wins as a manager WOW

wowowowowoow first he grounds out into an inning ending double play with the bases loaded. then 2 people steal off of him because of two crappy throws by him. so much for being a great defensive catcher. i know i hear it all the time i live in st louis.

not only is YM an auto double play, but larussa always bats him 5th-7th so that he can hit into lots of DPs.  For a guy who bats the pitcher 8th (which is also STUPID) you'd think larussa would try something else.
