One of the best commercials right now is Bud Light's "Dude" commercial. Check it out above if you haven't seen it yet. If you have been wondering about what Claudio Reyna's plans are for the 2008 season, it appears they involve playing for the Red Bulls. According to sources close to the team, it looks as if Reyna has every intention of returning to the Red Bulls in 2008 and playing out the remaining year on his MLS contract. The Red Bulls had been considering buying out Reyna's remaining year but it doesn't appear as if Reyna has any interest in being bought out. He has told teammates he plans on returning
Osorio Set To Take Over Red Bulls That’s right, it looks like the New York Red Bulls coaching situation is about to end as the club is set to land Chicago Fire coach Juan Carlos Osorio. The decision came after the Red Bulls and Fire reached an agreement on compensation for Osorio, which will more than likely be a draft pick or two and maybe some minor allocation. He had two years remaining on his contract with the Fire. An agreement on the deal is set to be reached sometime this week. Osori
Becks picked up a broken rib on the Galaxy's Oceania trip. Which really is no big surpise, since soccer players pick them up like rappers pick up gun charges. I just thought I would put this out there for any fans that may not have known since it's not listed on their websites' injuries and hasn't been mentioned by the sports press. Then how did I hear about it? Strangely, PerezHilton.com is the biggest American outlet to give it the time of day. You can read all about it here, along with th
The New York Times is reporting that the Red Bulls are looking to buy out Claudio Reynas million dollar contract, thus freeing up space for a second DP signing. With rumors flying that all teams shall receive an extra DP, The RBNY Organization is staring at a situation where three world class players may be manning their starting 11 (4 if you count Jozy, who will most certainly NOT be a DP). This will leave the organization in a position of strength, only matched by teams like the LA Galaxy (T

The New Mexican Nightmare: Dos Santos Much like Lou Dobbs, I hate Mexicans. Not because they come to the States and steal my meat-packing job--I've got no problem with that. You wanna hose out pig skulls for 8 bucks an hour--more power to you. I hate Mexicans because they love, for some reason, the Mexican National Soccer Team. The Mexican Soccer Team has been full of guys full of themselves for awhile. Aged veterans who think they should be allowed to win just because they are legends
The Red Bulls' search for a head coach to replace Bruce Arena has led them to Chicago head coach Juan Carlos Osorio. Sources have told SBI that the Red Bulls asked for permission to speak with Osorio about their vacant head coaching position. Chicago turned down the Red Bulls request but there is still a possibility that the Fire will grant the Red Bulls permission to speak to Osorio. If the scenario sounds familar to Fire and Red Bulls fans, it should since it was five years ago when the Me
David Beckman...USA Soccer Savior? Yes, you read that correctly, Beckman, not Beckham...if you don't believe me, ask Shogun's Uncle. Anyway, why do people insist on asking this question? Sure, Beckman is a superstar, both on and off the field. But why does he need to "save" US Soccer?

FOXBORO - An own goal by New York's Carlos Mendes in the 80th minute allowed the first-place Revolution to take a 2-1 victory before 16,017 fans on a hot, muggy night at Gillette Stadium. Mendes,...
FOXBORO - Bad bounces? "Certainly, I think that we can accept responsibility for this loss," deadpanned New York Red Bulls' coach Bruce Arena, after two good/bad bounces of the soccer ball resulted in the New England Revolution taking a 2-1 decision Saturday at Gillette Stadium.
BRAINTREE, Mass. -- When the Red Bulls began the season, they boasted a deep stable of veteran midfielders that figured to give the team one of the best midfields in the league.
Generously listed at 5-foot eight-inches (1.73 m) and 145 pounds (66 kg) in official US Soccer Federation literature, the reality of DaMarcus Beasley's frame is something considerably less substantial. In person, the jet-heeled winger looks more an underfed teenager than a top-tier footballer.
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- The Red Bulls could not have asked for a better first half. They scored a goal, played solid defense and went into half time with a 1-0 lead at Gillette Stadium, where they hadn't won in five years.
FOXBOROUGH -- Shalrie Joseph, who missed a first-half penalty kick, was prepared to take the blame if the Revolution failed to defeat the New York Red Bulls last night.
The main question to ponder after last night's 2-1 Revolution victory over the visiting New York Red Bulls: Was it fortunate, or was it deserved? It needed answering, because of how this odd match ended.
The Revolution considered signing Brazilian midfielder Denilson, but were unwilling to pay a high price, according to coach Steve Nicol. Instead, the Revolution are on the verge of adding defender Dusan Petkovic.

Ex-Man City sicknote.

NEW YORK-- Flashbulbs are nothing new to David Beckham, who has been followed around by the glow of cameras for most of his soccer career. But even Beckham has been surprised by the attention he is getting during his first tour of Major League Soccer and first visit to New York as an MLS player.
