To be the champion you have to beat the champion, Rua did not even come close to putting Machida in danger at anytime during the fight. But Machida put Rua in danger 3 times in the fight. Rua with a few leg kicks, some elbows, couple of punches and 2 commentators who pick sides and voice their favorites. Machida blocked every one of Rua's take down attempts. Tell me why Rua should have won?

Shogun is young... dedicated... brazilian.. awesome strikes... big heart... and good looks.. i mean, he's brazilian... dont hate on him for that... he steps in the ring with the rest of the ugly's and puts on awesome shows for us... the man's got skills.. he had 2 leg surgeries which have degenerated his skills and stamina... nobody understands this more than fighters.. he will beback to the ways of pride soon enough... he was an underdog to liddell, which is not to say much... but put him against rashad and I think people will see the old shogun... he rises to the occasion
