This is how a smaller person can defend against a larger person. It is about strategy and intellect, not force and aggression. Lyotos stye however is modified a bit for the mma, true karate in a real life situation would be far more deadly. I admire lyoto for using braines over bronze and demonsrating a real martial art to what people call a martial art event. However, it is understood that you could never have a true martial event because that is war itself. People would die.
