Sophomore, who I could swear has been vet all these months by the way you post. Sorry, got off track.

Veteran...yes, I was a Vet for months (even worked up to Legend for a while)...but we switched internet carriers and I was "demoted"...LOL!

But why has he not come out and said anything?? That is what perplexes me. How about you????

My HONEST opinion? She actually is not associated with TSR at all. There will be no "technical assistance" and that it was just all wishful thinking on her part (and daddy's part) that got out to the media. How would that have happened? One can only guess...but my guess would be that she or daddy said something to the press to "imply" it. More of the same type of thing we saw on the video. Time will only tell, of course, but Tony has had numerous opportunities to say something about it, including today's interview...he has not.

Sorry, got off track.I have been crucified for saying all along that I think this whole thing is based on his original sexual attraction to her. In saying that,some of us have expressed that maybe things were said that he doesn't want to renege on,which would not put him in good light in dirt world,so this whole thing is really based on what his pecker decided months ago,to put in bluntly.She does not have the chops to be an asset to his team,which is high profile,so it it all "smoke"and mirrors,IMO She drives a pink car, for goodness sake. Knowing Tony,this whole thing will phase out when he is ready.But,I do know that in the beginning it was physical.People saw her coming out of his coach...which,by the way, is mostly parked in the end spot in all coach lots. Better privacy, I guess. But why has he not come out and said anything?? That is what perplexes me. How about you????

So, he is looking to replace Kraig. What I don't get is that with all the sudden changes with monetary considerations, and putting a member of his team out of work(he is helping him look for a ride),how could he invest in motors and tires etc...for this unknown girl whose track recored is suspect at best.

Appreciate your post, Veteran. Let me ask your opinion about this. I took him looking for a driver to replace Kraig as that he doesn't have a replacement yet...not that JZ would necessarily be that replacement. It would have been the perfect time to mention "well, we have this other driver that we are going to try out and see how it works", but he didn't. I'm just thinking this whole JZ thing is non-existent, including any personal relationship they may have had at one time. Your thoughts (or anyone else who cares to weigh in)?

Just FYI, ESPN @1:00 est. They are doing an in depth piece on Tony. They said that it is delving into his life in racing as well as his future. I think we will all find that fascinating. Maybe he will open up about some of the things that we have questions about....Oh,it is on Sunday before the race. Sorry!

Tony also mentioned that he was looking for a driver to take the place of Kraig, who could run the same JJ engine that Donny does. So, he is looking to replace Kraig. Don't know if this will settle any of the questions regarding JZ and TSR or not...but...

Tony said in an interview from Homestead today that TSR will only be running 2 Silver Crown cars and 1 dirt sprint car next year. Now...we all know that Kraig is out. Donny runs dirt sprints, so HE is the one that will be driving the one dirt sprint that Tony mentioned today. Wonder where that leaves JZ? Sounds like she may be up a creek without a paddle...if the story was even ever true...

"Technical assistance" would mean helping her with her set up...giving her advice on engine problems...answering any questions she might have, etc. TSR does not have their own engine department and gets their motors from Chevrolet for all of their teams. Even if they did have their own engine department, buying a motor from their would probably be so cost prohibitive for her that she'd never be able to afford one on her own. Remember...this is the woman who whined all summer long about needing tires. If she couldn't afford tires...there's absolutely no way she could afford an engine

Hosehead is the dirt track version of Jayski which is the racing version of TGOM. It's a guy at a computer combing thur the postings of hundreds of blogs and drivers race sites to get the fan information.

I don't know what is going on, but something is weird about the entire thing. Tony hasn't said a word. I haven't heard any reporters ask Tony any questions about it. It is odd the way the entire thing was handled. Something is going on and I don't think it is good. TSR normally puts things like this on their website. Did JZ and her Dad put that Smokette on her car? I just can't imagine Tony ever approving something like that or any one with any business sense saying that was a wise thing to do.

I totally agree with you. There is something very odd going on. I can't believe that Tony would take on a female driver and not tell the world about it. Having a female in racing is a big deal (not that I like JZ, I don't think she is a good driver, but look at the press that Danica gets and she hasn't won a race this year). You would think there would be tons of press about it, especially if a big name driver like Tony is hiring her. Look at the press JZ got when Tony JUST visited her at the track this summer and now there is barely a comment about her racing with TSR!! Strange, very, very strange. The whole thing does make me wonder if Tony just helped her with an engine for a race. JZ's daddy may have turned it into a big thing that Tony is giving her technical assistance next year when Tony may have told JZ that he would just be texting her with some racing info!!

Thank you, Sophomore. I checked out 'hoseheads.com" and I think that you and I are just going to have to agree to disagree on this subject. It's a forum, just like this one is, and anyone can go on it and say that "Tony Stewart Racing" announced this or "Tony Stewart Racing" announced that. Again, I truly do respect your opinion, Sophomore, and I am not putting you down in any respect. I've just learned over the years to not believe anything unless I hear it straight from Tony or one of his reps. "Tony Stewart Racing" is not what I'm talking about. I'd like to see a name attached to it like "(insert name here), a representative of Tony Stewart Racing, announced today..." That way there's at least someone to quote, etc. So...let's just agree to disagree, ok?

I went to Tony's PR company's page and Kinser's page has been almost wiped cleaned and most the links to the rest aren't working.

I checked Donnie's page and it's still good, his interview after winning the championship is there and there is a nice small piece on the driver that could replace Kinser at the bottom of the interview. Nothing zero zip on JZ.

I can't get the link to post here but the guy's name is Josh Richards of W Virginia and he's been Tony's crew chief for the Prelude.

While I'm not familiar with "horseheads.com", I'm assuming it may be a dirt racing forum, and I'm really not that knowledgeable about dirt track racing (Nascar and NHRA are my "forte")...but there is nothing anywhere directly from Tony or TSR that substantiates this story. I'm sorry, but the best advice, as far as Tony and his businesses go, is that if it doesn't come directly out of his mouth or it's not confirmed by a representative of his, don't believe it. It could be written in gold and plastered on every website on the net and if it's NOT a quote directly from Tony or one of his people...it's really not newsworthy. This is JMO, of course.

Thank you for posting the link to the article from Racing One. However, it says absolutely nothing about Tony or any of his representatives from TSR CONFIRMING the information. There has been nothing from anyone in association with him that this is anything but an unsubstantiated rumor. Like I said before...until I hear it directly from Tony or one of his associates, I will continue to be speculative about it and will just have to wait until next year to see what happens...just like the rest of the world. However...the more time that goes on WITHOUT any word from TSR to confirm it...and in light of the fact that Kinser has been let go and Tony's discontinuing his USAC program...I am more inclined to NOT believe that TSR will be giving any kind of technical assistance to JZ next year.

You're the one that came here shouting about us being judgemental about the women. Yea Tony is a sweet charitable guy giving money from his foundation that he asks us to donate to. He's not materialistic with that how many square foot log mansion. And he likes cars that's why he goes to the Barrett Jackson Auction and spends $250,000 on a Chevy Nomand and any other cars that catch his eye. Plus he's very sensitive to the women he dates, that's why he attracts women of character and such social standing.

Almost ALL of us are materialistic and "saintly" Tony is no different. He can just afford it better than most. If he wasn't, he wouldn't be building a home the size of a shopping mall and have hundreds of extraordinarily expensive cars that probably don't even see the light of day much.

And even if I DID have the kind of money Tony does, I'd never build a house that large. Never ever. I don't want to live in a mall. I want to live in a home which doesn't require a golf cart to go from one end to the other.

Tony NEVER announced that he (or TSR) was going to be helping (or giving "technical assistance") to JZ. That is something that was stated by some TV announcers and reported on a couple of websites. I find it amazing that people have read that Tony has let Tracy Hines, Levi Jones, and now Kraig Kinser go. But yet I have seen no articles stating this and when people are asked to provide the article links, nothing has been provided. Nothing has been noted on the TSR website. I just don't believe all of this is happening. And Tony was not the one who announced in Charlotte that TSR had signed JZ. It was announced by an announcer at the race track. It has never been proven he announced it. I truely belive that JZ or someone in her camp announced before Tony had the chance to. Again, I would really like to see the articles where TONY has made these announcements. JMO.

Veteran I just read my last blog and realized that was that I was totally wrong for writing such an ugly comment. I'm sorry. Usually I'm more sensative and caring about the things I post. So continue to LYAO at others expense but keep in mind that although many of us here have not met Tony in person we care about him as a person with feelings. I do know that Tony doesn't like to be in the limelite but it comes with doing what he enjoys doing-racing.

I have a different take. Yearns for nice things around him in life. Enjoys having it , loves attention and when he does embraces show and tell; entertain Family/Friends in style. Oops I pushed the wrong button before I was finished. In regards to his car collection he'a a racecar driver he likes cars! What racecar driver doesn't have a stash? Earning the kind of money he does if he doesn't spend our messed up government will take it so let him spend on things he enjoys. I know I treat myself whenever I can afford it. You shouldn't judge or assume things about other people unless you've been in their shoes. What would you do if you earned the kind of money Tony does- bury it in the back yard? But regardless of the money what have you done for someone else lately since you spend so much time on this page? It doesn't take money to give time in a homeless shelter, soup kitchen, or animal rescue center just time and compassion. And if I implied that Tony was dating the relationship/dating counselor I didn't mean to. I meant maybe he's realized that he needs some help in that department to get what he's looking for.
